When to increase weight

Hi all, I’m just finished week 2 using the Bibstarter. The first week I did 3 sets of 2.5 lbs at 15 mins ea, and week 2 consisted of 3 sets of 2.5 lbs @ 20 mins ea. I’m starting my third week with 4 sets of 2.5 lbs @ 20 mins ea.

My plan is to in increase the number of sets by +1 each week until I reach 6 sets in one day. Only then I’ll start increasing my weight by 5.-1 lbs each week.

Its pretty interesting, I checked my log and I noticed that I went from 5.2 BPEL to 5.6 in just the two weeks I’ve been hanging. However, I don’t want to definitely confirm that PE works for me with just .4 inches, so maybe I’ll become a true believer when I hit 6 in BPEL.

Anyways, if any fellow hangers are reading this, I would love to hear your feedback about my current planned routine. Sometimes I want to just go crazy and do a super heavy weight for hours, but I also want to be careful and take it slow to max my gains.

Well, expect to hear from me again, because I’ve officially accepted PE as a part of my life and daily routine now :)

Goal -> BPEL 7.0, MEG 6.0

If you are gaining, you don’t change anything. When you stop gaining, add time. When you have reached the max time you can spare, increase the weight a little and reduce the time, then slowly build the time again. Keep repeating that pattern. Adding more time or weight unnecessarily will only toughen up the tissues and bring you to a dead halt in gains.


Heat makes the difference between gaining quickly or slowly for some guys, or between gaining slowly instead of not at all for others. And the ideal penis size is 7.6" BPEL x 5.6" Mid Girth.

Began December 2009 at 5 7/8" length and 5" girth.

As of December 5th 2012 7 3/8" BPEL and 6 1/8" base girth.

I’d be ecstatic if I gained “just” .4 inches at the end of my experiment. :)

Don’t change anything and “ride the wave” of gains while you have them.

@ DGA2010: Thanks for the encouraging words! I really appreciate it. Though I’m unsure whether its real gains or measurement error, its still a encouraging thought to think that my unit may be making gains.

@ Firegoat: I think I’ll definitely take your advice, that’s something I did not consider. I was going off of the “Hanging 101” thread’s sample routine, but like you said, I think I’ll hold back on increasing time/weight until I stop seeing gains. Patience and persistence seem to be most important to maximizing potential gains.

@ A-unit: I’m hanging SD. I’ve been thinking about how I would go about doing BTC or OTS, but I think I’ll add those to my routine later in the future. They’re gonna need some thought and setting up before I actually adopt them into my routine haha.
