Wench Question

Wench Question

Hello all. While this may be more of a general hanging question I figured it was more specific to the Wench than to a Bib. So my problem is that the actual wench slides up from where it initially lies. (Approximately 1 inch from the head.) The top end of it, basically a good half to full inch usually slides up the head and causes half the head of the penis to puff out from the Wench laying above it. Basically the head stops the hanger from sliding up anymore.

And I am not sure if it is a matter of tightness, I already strain a great deal to get three clicks with the clamps. And when I take them off, the top half of the penis is cooler than the bottom like the circulation is getting cut off. So I am worried about there being some damage to the head above where the wench cuts off and due to the fact that there is some degree of head pressure no matter how I seem to differ the wrapping job and cable clamp tightness.

I am wondering if I should just trim the actual strap that slides up over the head but I still seem to have some problem with head pressure. (Not usually painful but it is a uncomfortable towards the end of a 20 min hang.) As for the weight I started the first month with 5lbs, and am now in the second month with 7 doing 3 sets at 20 mins each.

Sorry if this is a lot of information. I will try to clarify anything that does not make sense. I appreciate any help that anyone can give. Have a good day.

I am using the Wench also. The way I do it is as follows. Maybe you can pickup something useful from my routine. I am not skilled or experienced enough to diagnose and solve your problem.
1. I pull my penis out with my left hand, on either side of my glans.
2. With my pinky and ring finger of my left hand I place each one on either side of my penis, and then push the skin down as tight as I can.
3. With my right hand I take my 1” x 20” piece of sweatshirt material, start my wrap about 1/2” down from the head and wrap once with a snug fit.
4. I wrap again. I then pull the first wrap up, just under the head.
5. I continue to wrap, spiral downward, all the time keeping the skin taught with my left hand.
6.Tape the bottom of wrap.
I forgot to mention, I tape the beginning of my wrap also.

I constructed my wench a little downscale from the original. Mine is 1 and 3/4 of an inch wide. I place my wench on, making sure that the black stoppers are placed perfectly on each side of my penis. When I put the clamp on, I watch the hinge, and make sure it is directly in the middle, of the bottom side of my penis. After your wench is broken in, you might be able to get another click. After I got this whole process down pat, my wench never slid down over my penis head again. In fact, it does not slide at all. I hope this helps you!

Tom-
Seriously consider what my wise friend Eddro suggests. I know that Ed worked through some tough issues with getting his Wench right.
I have personally had a problem free experience with the Wench and I have only the feedback of excellent guys like him to provide me with solutions to some of these problems.

If what Ed suggests doesn’t work, get back to us. I’ll dig through my memory files for something that might work. There is always an answer.
(thanks Ed)

As for coolness resulting after a 20 minute set, I have found that if I can put in two sets of 10 minutes with a small break in between (5 min) it is just as effective toward hitting fatigue, and easily solves circulation issues.
If you can do two sets of 15 minutes without circulation problems in place of one 20 minute set - you’re golden.

Still not working.

I just want to say that I appreciate the great replies so far. I tried trimming down the wench like Inch suggested but the problem seems to be my flaccid isnt that big and the bottom skin can be pulled all the way up to the head.

I also tried holding the skin back and then wrapping but it still seems to slip. I am just using some ace bandage wrap, so does the material make a difference? I would doubt it since the slipping is the wench moving on the skin which the wrap is attached to. Not enough tightness maybe? I can’t make the clamp any tighter, (broke the last one trying this.)

On the bright side since I trimmed the wench I dont get a cold head anymore, but the wench still almost goes over the head. Any help from the wench users would be great.

Tom-
>my flaccid isnt that big and the bottom skin can be pulled all the way up to the head.<

Are you saying that when in a flaccid state the skin from the base of your shaft can be pulled all the way to your glans?

Wench

I use a similar method of wrapping except I use the sewn bottom end of a cotton T shirt and after that I cover it with a strip of 1 3/4 ” wide rubber cut from a yellow dish glove. I make sure the grippers are in line with the rubber material. Prior to using the dish glove I has a little slippage but now I have none with 10 LB 15 minutes.

CaptnHook,

My flaccid hang is only like 3 inches on a good day, and my erect goes a little past 6. I guess I should clarify, with the wench on and I put weight on (approx 7 lbs) I get about 2 inches of slippage when it is at it’s tightest. So being my flaccid is short it almost pulls the wench off.

Archieone2,

Just so I understand, the rubber glove keeps the grippers from sliding? And that traction helps hold onto the internal structures? It is a good idea and I should try that.

Thanks for the quick responses.

Tom,
Archie is solving the issue of the Wench slipping along the wrap - I use Theraband which provides a similar traction as Archie’s latex.
But it has to be stressed that one should be able to use almost any material wrap with any hanger, and provided the hanger is appropriately tightened they shouldn’t experience slippage. PirateSteve, for example, is one of those who uses the Wench without any wrap at all, and gets it to work. Remember: a hanger only has to be tight enough. Anything tighter than that is gratuitous and possibly even dangerous.

To be honest, your issue has me a bit perplexed. At 3” flaccid (on your best day) and 6” erect you are experiencing a 100% increase in size. Probably more if we consider what must be your average flaccid hang. I don’t know what the common average is but that kind of increase strikes me as profound. I could be wrong - it could be within the norm.
Nonetheless, if the device is properly tightened and has a hold of internal structure it shouldn’t slip, regardless of how much skin is present.

I am inclined to believe your issue can be resolved through your wrap. Both in how you wrap and what you wrap with. And with the Wench I’ve learned that how much wrap some people use can play a big role in the quality of their hang.
Experimenting with different materials in varying amounts may yield positive results.

You must have and probably still do use manual stretching in your routine. How does this excessive amount of skin affect your manual stretches?

I wrap with an ace and then swim cap material—the rubber material grips the ace, the ace grips my skin. This works well. Try adding a material )swim cap, rubber glove, theraband) to better stick to the gripper pads.

I also started using two cable clamps, which helps. I tighten one as much as possible, ie, push hard to get theat last click. I then put on the second and click it tight, but don’t work as hard. This seems to give more surface area for tightening, which also works well.

I can hang 12.5 BTC comfortably with this set up. Give it a try.

Rock out with your cock out!

CaptnHook,

I realized last night that my 3” flaccid might have been confusing. What I meant is that without being stretched it is only like 2.5” (just checked). But when I pull it out I can usually get almost 5” to attach the hanger, which would explain the 2” slip. (I am only 6.x” bpel). But I still have a lot of room to play with on the skin. The only problem is that the medium cable clamps don’t seem to be able to hold a lot of wrap, more than maybe 7” which doesnt go that far. Do you use the large one Captn? Just curious.

tenaciousD,

I will have to try the swim cap material. I have tried two clamps but it still was acting like a slip-n-slide. Maybe the combination of the two would work a lot better. Maybe that is why everyone always speaks of the legendary Theraband.

I just thought that I should add that when I do hang I still feel it stretching my penis not the burning sensation of skin getting stretched. And even though the grippers like to ride up right behind the head, I feel the cable clamp soreness around where I attached the hanger, (a.k.a. 2 inches down.)
Sorry if I am making you scratch your head CaptnHook, just don’t use the wrong hand.

Tom,
I think you’re saying that when you wrap with a lot of material you find it hard to fit a medium cableclamp around the Wench.
If I am correct about that (if I’m wrong just shoot me) let me say that it is very easy to scale down the length of the main velcro band (the cylinder/body) from the normal 10” to anywhere between 5 1/2”- 9”. As a result the “girth” of the Wench when wrapped around your shaft becomes smaller and a medium clamp becomes an easier fit.
However, if you are indeed one who uses a lot of wrap, you will have to consider that the Wench has more shaft girth to wrap around, so you cannot scale it down too much. Finding the happy medium is the key.

Personally I have always used just one medium clamp, and with Wenchs that range from 5 1/2” to 10” in main body band length.
I have grown to prefer a Wench I have that measures 5 1/2” in length and 1 1/2” in width. I use an 11” x 1 1/2” strip of gray/green Theraband which is just enough to cover the 1 1/2” area of my shaft that the Wench covers.

Call me a minimalist. I’ve been called worse.

>I still feel it stretching my penis not the burning sensation of skin getting stretched. <

It’s a good thing if you feel the stretch internally more than on the skin. A good sign.

>And even though the grippers like to ride up right behind the head, I feel the cable clamp soreness around where I attached the hanger (a.k.a. 2 inches down.) <

Expect the grippers to move forward and behind the coronal ridge when weight is applied. It’s only natural that this occur. What has to be avoided is the grippers sliding over the glans.

Tom, you note soreness where you attach the device which raises an eyebrow. Be cautious of pain.
I remember when I first started hanging I experienced a lot of “soreness” where the various devices I was using compressed the shaft. This improved as my soft tissues adapted. But please be very careful to avoid real pain. If you find it difficult to sit through a set, simply end it and reevaluate things.
This is of the utmost importance.

>Sorry if I am making you scratch your head CaptnHook, just don’t use the wrong hand.<

This is why I gave up manual stretching :)

CaptnHook,

Thanks for the all the patience you have been having with me. I know how pirates like to talk with their cutlass. (Waiting for a joke from that one.)
Anyway there is no pain when I hang now that I trimmed down the width of the wench and I may do what you suggest and try Theraband.
Only one more real question. When you hang, does the wench slide up behind the head for you? And secondly in either case does your head darken at all or is it the usual barnacle covered hue?

Tom-

>When you hang, does the wench slide up behind the head for you?<

Yes. Gravity doing its thang. As long as the grippers are not riding past the coronal ridge and onto the glans you should be alright. Ideally, the skin and soft tissues of your penis that are ahead of the device (toward the glans) will bunch up and cushion the pressure exerted on the coronal ridge. This bunching is something Bigger calls “shoulders”.
I prefer to call them “shoulders”.

>And secondly in either case does your head darken at all or is it the usual barnacle covered hue?<

There was more frequent “darkening” of my glans when I first began hanging. Never was it more than a slight darkening of the skin hue - a very mild shift in pigmentation. And never did it last more than a half minute post-set as normal circulation resumed.
I can only believe this darkening was the result of veins and capillaries stretching/thinning under the new stress I was putting on them, and this limited circulation to the glans. With time, as they adapted circulation during a set improved.
This might explain why now, hanging significantly more weight I see even less discoloration than I used to.
Keep in mind though that this was my own personal experience and I always approached hanging with a great deal of respect for the potential injury I faced. I monitored very carefully matters such as discoloration and loss of sensation. I still do. Constantly.

The barnacle hue that you hear rumor of is just a seasonal thing. It’s cold up here Tom.
