wench clarifications

I just wanted to know one thing abou the captain’s wench, how thick are the grippers, because i substituted the grippers with 1” X 2” sized erasers that are pretty sturdy and thick. When I hang my head gets cold after about 6 min., so i was wondering how thick the grippers were and why my head was getting cold so quickly. Any special techniques to a nice hang without head coolness? Thanks

Those erasers are fine. You get cold because circulation is restricted. It is one of the things you have to monitor when you hang. So pay attention to what is going on and take off the wench as necessary to maintain good blood flow, temperature and color.

I agree it’s your settings and not the hanger. As long as what you substitute for the grippers grip enough not to slip off your wrap then its ok. Also, your substitute should have the approximate solidity of the original Grippers.

I think if the are too hard then you will be pressuring a too small area along the sides of the shaft. And with too soft grippers the cable clamp will basically become a cock ring.

Does anyone know where I can find grippers in Texas? I’ve tried Lowes and Home Depot, but neither has them. I’ve checked in the flooring areas of both stores by where they have floor tiles and all. Everyone says they get them at Lowe’s. What are they originally used for; I’m not sure what to ask for? I thought they were used for sticking down floor tiles. Maybe I am just looking in the wrong areas of the store?

They are to prevent furniture from slipping around. I was only able to find the 1 1/2 inch circles which I shapred into a rectangular shape but I think they worked :)

mr6inch, did the same thing. Got mine at Wal-Mart when I got the other supplies for making Wench.

Big Girtha, You can find them at Wal-Mart. At least that’s where I got mines.

Yup we dont have any lowes over here where I live.

So coolness is ok and normal when hanging?

I get this coolness with my wench too after about 10min, but there isn’t much color change. I’ve been lifting up my weights and massaging the glands and kegeling in some fresh blood until they warm up again, then continuing the set. Or should I look at a way to do this better with less temp loss?
