The bib hanger with weights is by far the best source of permanent PE. Look you get up to 12-15lbs for 2-3 hours, see how big you get!! I think this is some of the best advice ou can give. Right now im Hanging 5lbs for 1 hour a day and am seeing great results. I wonder what Ill be when im a 15 lbs 3-4 hours a day!!

I agree, if one has the necessary time and privacy, hanging offers great potential.

I agree as well. I’m experiencing fabulous results…nearly 1/2” gained over the last 5 weeks. I’m averaging 4 hours of hang time a day though. ;)

Still, is the 1/2” BPEL or BPFS?

Are you hanging primarily straight out?

Thats on both measurements RB! I’m hanging ONLY BTC.

That makes sense, lig stretch seem to bring EBPL gains as it is simply allowing more shaft that’s already there to be exposed. What was your LOT before the BTC hanging, by the way. What is is now?

Great! I’m sure I have another 3” that’s “already there to be exposed”. 9pm LOT before, still the same.

I bet you get some good gains until your LOT hit’s 7 or so, then I’ll bet you a dollar you have to change your sig line…

Well what if I keep gaining in spite of my LOT? Will I be doubted and thought to be a liar? LOL. We’ll see I guess huh? No wait….I’ll be considered “lucky”.

As much time as you’re putting in, you’ll probably still gain hanging BTC even after your LOT falls. Upward angles should be more effective in that situation from a time vs. benefit perspective. However, the ligs will only stretch so far before the tunica shares the load. Then you’ll be working both at the same time. I’d think at 4 hours a day you’d still progress, but probably get faster results switching to SO or OTS.

I think Stillwantmore is saying that “LOT” is theory, not fact. Maybe it will be proven though…

I think that LOT is more than just a theory; however, it may not be engraved in stone (few things pertaining to physical training really are). But I respect the analytical thinking. I also disagree that PE cannot be a “science.” I say, “Why not?”

We hear about the science of progressive resistance training, the science of boxing, the “sweet science” (hitting), etc. When one is making great gains, then Nike’s motto may suffice. But when the gains slow - or, worse, come to a halt - then it suddenly morphs into a “science.”

Either a theory is proven, disproven, or not studied properly.

I do think there may be something to the LOT theory, but’s in the third category for now. I don’t believe people who are doing exercises against the theory are necessarily wasting their effort.
