What I meant by “more than a theory” is that I believe there is sound reasoning behind it - and it seems to offer a reasonable explanation about why some gain rapidly & others slowly.
And, still, sure you can stretch any tissue, & force will cause it to alter. But if your ligs are stretched out completely, let’s say, yet you continue to hang BTC, or do stretches at 6:00, will there be damage or negative side-effects associated? In such an instance, I think it would be reasonable to switch to tunica stretching - and see what happens. I have a low LOT, and I was spinning my wheels for awhile, but when I began tunica stretching (above 9:00), I noticed a fairly quick length increase.
Had I not heard of the LOT theory - or applied its principles to my training - I don’t believe I would have made the sudden gains….so, for me, it’s “more than a theory” - it’s PE science. :)
