Weight Question - Less longer or more shorter?

I’m curious what do you vets think would be better or if there is any difference.

Say 6lbs for an hour or 15 lbs for 15 min what’s your opinion?

Right now I’m doing 6+ lbs for 45 min - an hour

Whichever gets your ligs to a state of fatigue. If 15 pounds for 15 gives the same level of fatigue as 6 for an hour then that would be better since you wont have wasted as much time. But then again, if the fatigue is the same then maybe 6 pounds would be better, because then the penis is held in the extended state for longer.

Either way, I think more volume is necessary, starting at a heavy weight and dropping when you cant hang that weight anymore. The usual way to hang is in 20 min sets, so start at 15 pounds for 20 mins, and if you cant do that for the next set drop to 13 pounds etc. repeat for the next set. After you get a good worked out feeing you could do your 6 pounds for 45 mins set to keep your dick extended.

Whatever. just start at max weight and drop when you need to, rather than starting low for long periods. Thats the most effective way IMO.

I hope that you are not saying that you are hanging 6 lbs. for 45 minutes to 1 hour with no breaks. You should try not to exceed 20-25 minutes at a time. Also, it is a good idea to unwrap and restore circulation by lightly jelqing after a hanging set. As far as weight goes, I was hanging 20 lbs. with the Bib hanger before I injured myself. I now hang mostly at 12.5 lbs. and am getting good fatigue and stretching of the ligs. The higher you go in weight, the more vulnerable you are to injury unless you are well conditioned from months of hanging. Remember, you should be able to hang with total comfort. That is, you should be able to do anything you want to do with total relaxation while you hang. If you find that you cannot relax, then you are probably using too much weight. It took me a long time to learn this. Hanging is a long term process. Gains will not be accelerated by piling on more weight.

I am hanging 6 lbs for 45-1hr sometimes with a break. When I do break I do semi jelq just to get things flowing again.

Ok I’ll try the 15 and to relax. I’ll be sure to let you know how it goes. 2-3 20 min sets with breaks is what I’ll do tonight.

The only way I’ve had any results with hanging is to use very heavy weights for shorter time periods, but I think I must have extra strong ligs or something. Most seem to get results with much less weight than I. I can’t even feel a stretch with anything under ten pounds, and only really feel progress at about 15 to 25 lbs. I have never felt my ligs “fatigued”. I’ve tried 5 lbs for long periods (1 1/2 hrs with breaks) but it felt like absolutely nothing was even hanging off my penis. The only thing that stops me from extremely heavy weight is the injury to my skin, not lig stress. I haven’t been able to concoct a hanger that will allow me to hang heavy weight for over five minutes without “blistering” of my skin, or slipping off. I haven’t tried a Bib hanger yet, if it allowed me to hang heavier weights it would be worth the money (unfortunately, I don’t have the money). I’ve recently built Tom Hubbard’s AFB flattened PVC hanger, and it looks very promising for heavier weights. I tried his dowel version a while ago and couldn’t even hang 6 lbs without damage. The flat PVC is much better. Plus I’ve changed my wrap. Much better. Now I use a 2” wide self-adhering ACE bandage, which doesn’t stick to my skin, yet stays in place, and doesn’t sting when I remove it, except occasionally when I leave it on between 3 or 4 sessions, then it stings very mildly when I remove it. Rubber stings like hell when I remove it. So does cloth. I think my problem is I have very loose skin on my penis.

I am in little league next to you guys. I hang with 2 1/2 lbs for appx 8-10 minutes then try to add two more pounds and then try to go another 5 minutes but only make about 3 minutes.

After my hanging sessions I hang 1 lb for 7 to 8 hours while I’m at work. I actually do it for my foreskin restoration but it keeps everything pulled out aside from just the skin. Just make sure you check on it often to make sure things are OK.

I tried 10lbs last night and now I finally feel the fatigue! I did 3 sets of 20 min. I was scared when I started to release the weight to my unit but it was fine. I didnt want to rip it off my body LOL
I’m going out tonight to buy another weight to do the 15lbs. My wife found rubber coated flat weights that resemble huge brass knuckles at a discount store. She got them for her work out and they were only 3.95 each so I’m going out to get me some too. I’ll keep you posted on how it goes.

Also I’m using the full size Bib Hanger and it was worth every penny. I cant imagine doing this with either of my homemade hangers. I’m sure my toes would be bruised by now. LOL

Glad your feeling the burn!

Make sure you work up to 15 pounds if you havent hung that much before. If your feeling fatigue at 10 pounds then stick with that for a while, this is not a weightlifting competition!

Might I also suggest some light hanging (like 1-2 pounds) or ADS after your three 20 min sets? If you have the time that is. Also after you finish your hanging it would be good to do some jelqing or dry-jelqing for 15mins or so, to restore your blood flow.

I have been hanging BTC quite a bit lately. I usually start with 15 lbs the first set, then 12.5 lbs the 2nd set. After 2 - 20 minute sets I am very fatigued. My ligs feel like their on fire when hanging BTC, and when I’m finished, my entire lig area is all red, like if you got your butt spanked. Anyone else experience this ? I have made more progress hanging this way in 1 month than I have made the past 2 years hanging normal, with less weight. IM4

Yes. This is actually more of an ADS exercise. However, if you are using a Bib hanger or an AFB, you need to monitor the tightness. If the hanger is too tight and cuts off circulation, you could do serious damage. I often use my Bib hanger with only a bit of tightness to hang 2 pounds for a couple of hours.

If your lig area is all red, it is likely that you are stretching skin. This is OK because, until you get the skin stretched, you cannot really hit the ligs effectively. You may be hitting them some of the time, but maybe not all the time. I try to pull back a little skin along the base when putting on the hanger so that the pull is on the ligs rather than the skin.
