Vein Issues

So due to extra sets or to many sets in a short period or whatever I have been getting edema during my hanging sessions.

I am not to concerned about it since it isn’t painful. It goes away within 20 minutes or so. I haven’t actually timed how long it takes to subside but that is a guestimate.

What is also happening is the veins on my shaft right below my glans have become very prominent and almost hard. This is immediately after my session and even after the edema subsides.

I don’t know how long it takes before they soften. Just one of those things that happen when I am going about my day.

There is absolutely no pain or discomfort when I touch these veins.

Since it is the veins of course I am concerned.

Many years ago I used to pump and the veins remind me of that look. However, I don’t remember them being this prominent or hard.

I am curious if anyone else has experienced this. Perhaps people that clamp.

I am going to be dialing back my routine over the next couple days but I don’t want to make that a permanent adjustment.

So the edema is in front of your wrap, towards the glans?

Edema is in front of wrap. The wrap might be to tight but I usually like it snug.

Now I will correct something. I didn’t hang today and the veins are still more prominent than normal and hard feeling. Now I wonder if it is actually hard or since they are closer to the skin I can just palpate them better.

The changes in my routine are more sets on a consistent basis. Heat via 150 watt emiter and 250 jelqs after each session.

The hanging is causing the edema but I wonder if the jelqs are contributing to the vein prominence.

Jelqs definitely could be, but maybe not in a bad way. The edema in front of the hanger is something I haven’t experienced. As we talked about I am getting it behind, but I am ignoring that still and it is going away faster and faster after each session. This would be a good question for Bib. He indicated when I asked about my edema that it was very common in front of the hanger. I’m sure he has helped many guys deal with it.

The veins are the iffy part. Hard as in expanded, dilated, and plump is usually a good thing. Hard as in hard like glass could be an issue. How do they feel to you? Is there any elasticity in them?

No additional elasticity that I can tell. They definitely seem to be dilated and plump. It is just odd when I’m flaccid and the veins seem so near the surface and almost sharp feeling. I know that isn’t a good description but this is very different than I am used to.

I am hoping this is a positive thing but I just don’t know. Yeah it’s been at least 24 hours since my last hanging session and even though they aren’t as prominent they are definitely appearing closer to the surface and they feel different. This is while completely flaccid.

So I shouldn’t self diagnose but I think I’m okay. I just think I got over eager with adding the jelqs to my session.

I have a history of many years of no gains with manual jelqs and stretches. I was supposed to do light jelqing after my hanging session but I think I was a little aggressive due to my history with them. On occasion I would even continue to jelq with near full erection

Yeah, I think you are probably ok.

I was the same way with manuals. Not because they didn’t work, but because I was never consistent.
