Vacuum hanging confusion

Vacuum hanging confusion

I’ve seen a lot of impressive reports on the “new” art of vacuum hanging. From the ease of use to the comfort-ability, it seems like everyone that’s trying it is loving it.

I do have a question, I’m sorry if this has been covered, riding the search engine for two days hasn’t turned up an answer. I’m totally ignorant on vacuum hanging and would like an education. :) Where is the stress felt? It seems to me The glans and CS would take the most of it and also the skin because it would ride along. It’s not registering with me how the vacuum is putting a load on the ligatures(:) Thunder) and tunica, all I am left with is how great of an ADS it must be, but not a hanging device.

Thanks,
Doubting Thomas in the South

I think vacuum hanging hits the ligs and tunica just the same way as vice style hanging does. Why wouldn’t it?

You will get a really good “internal” stretch without any skin stretch. I feel it mostly in the base/root when I hang SO. Then again, this is my first hanger so I do not know how wench style hangers feel like.

I am totally ignorant in other hanging techniques (never was able to make the wenchette comfortable so I went on towards greener pastures), so take my observations for what they are worth. I’ve used both a foam can cap (first version was a film canister) + dishglove finger as a seal, and the Beta VacXtender.

The first rig I only used as an ADS (2-4 pounds) and it stretched the entire shaft from top to bottom. Only time I felt the skin was when I got my circ scar skin pinched in between the sharp edge of the cap and the seal. Over time I would get fluid buildup at the tip of my glans, so that it would take on a slight coke-can shape. I never got around to try hanging with it, since I was up in the middle of a scientific experiment comparing fixed lenght extender vs. bungee cord (the SuckXtender thread). Once I decided to try hanging, I discovered I’d gotten a small crack in the cap that leaked at higher weight, or if it could have been the ribbed texture of the dishglove finger that caused a leak.

The second rig I’ve used is the Beta VacExtender, for ADS and for hanging. As an ADS it is better than my first rig, for reasons presented in MB:s newest thread. The principle is the exact same and the feeling was almost the same (more comfortable), only since it is has a bigger diameter than my cap the load is distributed on a larger area of glans tip = less pressure drop per square mm, which in theory should lead to less fluid buildup. Skin pull is only felt if you bunch it up when putting the device on. I have stopped using it as an ADS since it is more bulky, even though I think it is more effective - higher load is comfortable, so you wind up at maybe 4-6 pounds ADS pull (for home use, this is no problem). For hanging, I do sets of maybe 20-50 minutes, varying between hanging weigths at about 9-10 pounds for 20-30 minutes or lying in bed and stretching with a fishscale at 7-8 pounds hooked to webbing sling around my foot for longer periods of time. When standing up I feel the ligs stretch into my abdomen, when lying down it is not as obvious, probably since my upper body is slightly bent (reading). My shaft is stretched thin and hard, and I can really feel the ligs going into the shaft on the upper side. The glans is not really felt except as pressure on the tip, and over time the feeling is increased and I can sometimes feel like the tip is pressed agains the inside of the device. This hurts a bit, and when I remove the weight I need to release the vacuum at the same time in order to make sure that the swollen glans doesn’t get squashed agains the cap. In my case, my glans swells up and fills out the sides of the canister (both sizes small and medium) and the vacuum is then borne on the front of the glans.

To sum it up, it pulls as hard as you want it to, from ADS loads and harder. The force is transferred via the glans down into the shaft and into the same structures as with other devices. It is only the attachement to the dick itself that is different.

My experiences with vacuum hanging have been very similar to mgus’s. The general comfort when wearing a vacuum hanger has made me realize that most of the discomfort I feel during hanging sessions with vice-style hangers is probably skin stretch, even after I’ve gone through the initial phase of pure skin stretch (each time I’ve gone back to vice-hanging after time off over the years). Vacuum hangers really seem to pull on the whole shaft, compared to vice hangers, and without any of the limiting discomfort of skin stretch. The only downside I’ve experienced is the one mgus describes here: “In my case, my glans swells up and fills out the sides of the canister (both sizes small and medium) and the vacuum is then borne on the front of the glans.” I assume that a larger glans cap will help solve this problem, along with, perhaps, “wrapping” the glans with a ring of silicone to prevent excessive expansion and “cap packing.”

I started with my homemade vacuum hanger ( I think its better than any other one out there), and later made a captains wench…I was unpleasantly surprise by the amount of skin pull it produced.

The vacuum hanger seems to produce almost no skin pull and you feel it go to the “root” of the penis, and seems primarily directed to the internal structures.

Not to mention the sensation is very similar to pumping…kinda’ pleasant! :)

Thanks guys for the replies, it just seemed like it was similar in mechanics to just manual stretching by only pulling the head. If soreness is felt in the ab region, then my assumptions that the vac only pulled the glans and CS are wrong. I don’t want to hear anything else positive about it :) , I have a Bib Starter in the mail and can’t afford another toy.

Good luck to all

Can’t go wrong with a Bib, and you know it works for you :) (Plus, if you require very heavy weights to make gains — and I think I remember your using some pretty heavy weights — a vacuum hanger wouldn’t be appropriate anyway.) Welcome back to PE, Mr. Nine.

Para,

I’m not so sure of that. I don’t think that issue is really settled yet?

I’m not really sure. I would assume the vacuum pressure would be excessive. Then again, in my experience, using vice hangers for extreme weights doesn’t feel particularly safe either. In general I think it’s a good idea to keep weights under 20 lbs for hanging.

Mr. Nine. Try this. Grab your dick between fore fingers and thumb in an inverted OK grip with your palm facing down. Now try to grip through the skin to the tunica as tight as you can grip and now move your hand up the shaft toward the glands. You can feel the skin riding over the inner shaft. This is what happens with a Bib or a Wench or any hanger that attaches by clamping to the shaft. Now matter how hard you squeeze, even to the point of bruising the urethra, you cannot grip tight enough to pull the inner structures for the skin riding up. So the thing that gets the most stretch with clamp style hangers is the skin. The tunica and ligs get very little pull at all.

Now grip the tip of the glands with your fingers and pull out. You can actually feel the inner shaft being pulled out, un-turtling (my word) or un- telescoping like a radio antenna (Mr. Ligatures words, but actually a pretty good description.) By pulling from the tip you are unturtling the shaft, stretching the ligs and tunica without all the skin stretch and without squeezing the shit out of your dick. Not only this, at the same time you are gaining the benefits of pumping and possibly (School’s still out on this one) working girth at the same time, at least the glands and like with any kind of hanging, the base. Mid shaft is not getting much, for this we clamp. But the biggest selling point of these hangers for me is the ability to stay in them for long periods of time without cutting off circulation. I plan to write a long thread on the use and tips on vacuum hanging, but right now I’m recovering from one hell of a hangover.

You can not compare a hanger to the grip you can get with your fingers, there’s a world of difference. What you describe only happens when you’re not tightening a hanger sufficiently enough. Although I’m sure not everyone using a hanger knows how much they really need to tighten it in order for the hanger to work properly. However even with some of the tension on the skin there’s plenty of the tension left for the tunica and ligs. Men have been using hangers succesfully for years and they sure didn’t gain from stretching skin alone.

Sure there is. The human hand can grip harder and pull with more tension than any hanger. I can pull nearly 70 pounds on a fish scale with my hand and I can grip the shaft of a dick tight enough to bring a man to his knees. But I can not hold that grip or pull that tension for very long. That is I can’t pull the tension long to be effective for a good length routine, nor can I grip the shaft long enough to cause internal injuries, but the Bib hanger can do both.

Look, I’m not trying to match wits with Piet. He is a well respected veteran of this community. Nor am I trying to tarnish the image of Bib. He is a legend, not only in this community but in all PE forums. Bib has probably made more contributions to The Craft than anyone not just with his hanger, but with his posts, theories and speculations. In the past I have recommended the Bib to as many people as anyone, maybe more. The Bib hanger was simply the best method available to attach heavy weights to ones dick. It is probably STILL the best way to attach weights over 20 pounds. But time marches on, and new innovations will come. We know more now then we did then. I personally believe, and so do many of us, that you don’t have to hang an anvil from your dick for twenty minutes at a time to make gains. And you certainly don’t have to crush your dick in a vice in order to suspend such weights. More time less weight seems a much safer and logical way to me.

I hung 25 pounds two hours a day 10 hours a week for a couple of years and I slowly gained a little length, but those gains came to a sudden halt on or about the third year. I was also doing other things so I can’t say that the Bib contributed to all that erect length gain, but I’m sure it helped. However, I paid dearly for those gains with pain, blood, sweat and tears, and with so much excess skin my once tightly circumcised shaft now looks completely uncut. I have also gained quite a bit of discoloration, not to mention a pretty nasty injury a while back to my urethra, which my doctor says was caused by the Bib. I actually took my Bib as well as a CableClamp to her and explained exactly what I was doing with the devices and she said the urethra injury was definitely caused by the Bib. Not the CableClamps, or the pump, but the hanger. I wrote about this injury and her diagnosis in several threads last year.

It has just very recently as of yesterday, in fact, come to my attention that I have gained 1/4” BPEL in the last couple of months. I can’t be certain that this came solely from vacuum hanging, because I am a PE whore who uses every method available, but it certainly hasn’t come from the Bib, because I gave up using it last year when the injury occurred, not to mention I can no longer keep it closed around my girth.

Maybe this new length gain has come from clamping, or the constant use of peweights or aggressive work with the AutoExtender, I don’t know, because I’m doing all of that plus more. All I know is that hanging with vacuum seems to be the safest and most effective way to hang moderate weights for long periods of time.

I’m not saying these hangers are safe either. It is too early to tell. I myself have sustained some pretty nasty blisters from abusing the device. But I honestly feel they are safer and more effective than any clamp style hanger.

I plan to write a thread on advanced techniques with vacuum hanging. I know I’ve been saying this for a long time, but life has been keeping me pretty busy here lately, but I will get to this, because I have picked up on a lot of good stuff I feel I should pass on. Maybe this weekend.

I think you made Piet put his guard up because he has been using a vice-style hanger with success and comfort for a long time. I understand this. I have and still use my jes-extender just like it is with the silicone tube and some baby-powder. Every time I read posts where people give out warnings about noose-style extenders I get a bit tense. The jes gave me my first gains and I have been using it for over a year with no injuries, scars and such and I am uncut.

However, when the autoextender came out I recognized it as a “safer” and more comfortable option without even trying it my self. I think it is a ego/pride thing. One has to use common sense. I firmly believe vacuum hanging is the only way from here on out.

Just felt like uttering my opinion.

It’s true. We all tend to hang on to things that have worked well in the past, but we always have to be open to new ideas. Vacuum may be the best method available now, but not forever. It’s just the new kid on the PE block and I’m sure there will be vast improvements. Soon someone will come up with something better or perhaps altogether different. But if it weren’t for pioneers like Bib, Hubbard, Fow1 or Uli and even Captn Hook none of the new discoveries would have ever happened.

What ever happen to Cappy, anyway
