Vacuum Hanging

Hi Big Girtha,

I have a question about endcaps. I have made a few endcaps myself. The problem I had with the bigger ones, was that when I applied the weight, the extra empty space would expand so much that my glans would be pulled completely out of the endcap, and would get squeezed/crushed by the sleeve sucking in.

Does this not happen for you? Are your glans still inside the endcap after the weight is applied?

To counter this, I have always tried to use endcaps that are as tight as possible. Your messages have got me thinking that I should try making a new big endcap, but making it deeper than my past efforts.

Good question, I have also problems with the sleeve collapsing when using higher weights.

It kind of helps putting two more sleeves over to strengthen but I’m afraid that it will not hold when going for higher weights.

Mine is collapsing at 8.3 lb, I’m using the blue sleeve as the main sleeve and two pink ones over the blue.

I should also mention that I use the Xsleeve which probably is not as strong as the vac hanger.

It could have to do something with taping, as Big Girtha is not taping the gland the contact area is larger thus giving the endcap more to grab on.

Good stuff, guys. First off, the air bubbles. Like awstev said, the bubbles probably won’t be such a problem with the 1/4” thick walls. However, I think holding one of my Industrial strength Vibrators, the “Deadly Thumpers” as they were deemed dangerous by some one earlier, against the PVC should get rid of most of them.

As far as the end cap, I have one that MB sent me back when he was still trying to decide on what size to make these things. I’m not sure he ever sold this one, but a 2”inside Diameter PVC end cap would probably do nicely. You would just have to drill an Air-hole and figure a way to attach a line to the end. I think you need a cap bigger than your erect dick-head. The one that I’m using is 2” ID. I have 7” girth so that cap will not fit over my glands completely. But it really does not have to. If I get a bone hard erection and sprinkle some talcum powder into the cap, I can twist it onto the tip of my dick deep enough to get a suction. I just press the tip of my dick into the cap, then roll the sleeve onto the shaft, I can then release the air-hold and press the cap firm against my glands, then cover the air-hole, I get a real tight suction. When I hang weight, my dick never touches the cap. The sleeve does suck in around the tip a little, which is a little uncomfortable, but after a few minutes of hanging that uncomfortable pinch goes away. I’m not sure why, perhaps I’m just getting numb, but it usually only feels uncomfortable for a few minutes, usually till I sit down.

I hung 15 pounds yesterday, two one hour sets about 8 hrs apart. The blue sleeves seem to hold the 15 lbs okay, but anything over that will probably cause them to tear. I want one that will hold 20 pounds. I think that would be the most weight anyone would need to hang with any vacuum hanger, because of the long sets we are able to endure.

So far no blisters, but I’m not counting them out with this much weight.

I actually am using two of the blue sleeves at the same time, just double layered. That seems to help. I believe the red sleeves are thicker and stronger, have you thought about just trying those? I think I will try them next.

Dim4,

The red sleeves are thicker for sure, but not stronger in my opinion. I have both and went back to the blue quickly…well, then got these stupid clots or blocked lymphs or whatever they are… But the red is perfect for all night long or with a weighted end cap for all day hanging… I actually like how it feels when it’s on.

Thanks…good to know! You didn’t get your thrombosis from vac hanging did you?

Those Industrial strength Vibrators can come in handy :-)

Thanks for the dimensions of your cap. I wish Monkeybar was still making his hangers. I will have to rummage through my old vitamin bottles and see if I can cobble together something with bigger dimensions for another experiment.

Yeah, it is a shame he stopped making these, but making a reasonable facsimile shouldn’t be that hard.

I’m thinking a 2” PVC end cap, like the one used for the base of TPS’s sleeve mold. Drill three 1/4 holes in the end of it like in the two eyes and a nose position. Thread a piece of strong line through the two eyes and tie them together in a square knot making a small loop that S hooks can be attached to for your weights. The third hole you might bore out a little bigger, for your air-hole. Sand the inside of the end cap so the drillings are smooth, and you got it. Attach the Monster Sleeve I’ve talking about making to it and I think you will have a hanger that will handle 20lbs for an hour comfortably.

But I could be wrong.

Hard to say….. I was doing so much at one time. I was hanging 10 -12 lbs, using a clamp (as a pre-tape prep), using a bathmate hydro-pump later in the day…to max (often got bruising)…. I had three “2 chords and 1 rice pellet” type of blockage (I’m 90% sure they were lymph blockages) and one is totally gone (2 weeks now) and one is diminished about 50% and the third is still pretty much the same… So they are getting better, just taking longer than I had hoped.

Hey, BG.

I have made a few of those sleeves using ecoflex and AWS is right - the bubbles are the weak points that eventually lead to failure. Vibration will help to raise them to the surface, but I also used my vacuum pump over the top of the mold to pull them out. This works VERY well. They still eventually break, but they last much longer without the bubbles.

I drill holes in a 2” PVC cap, but instead of rope, I used some of that friendly plastic stuff (heat moldable) and squeezed it through the holes, making an attachment loop at the top and sealing it at the same time. I never needed a third hole to expel the air, I just squeezed my cock and the expansion burped it out the sides, around the cap.

To use, I would roll the sleeve down onto the shaft with no inner constriction sleeve. I did hang a few times like that at 20lbs, but I eventually made an extender which was easier to conceal. There is also some evidence that extenders might be better than the constant force of hanging/stretching. An added benefit (I thought, at the time) was the excellent expansion my glans was getting inside the cap. My head definitely grew during this time.

Unfortunately, my luck ran out after over 125 hours using the cap. I got a huge, very painful blister that took a few weeks to heal, and that same spot has been susceptible to blistering ever since - even with serious taping. My theory at the time was that I had used a petroleum-based lube (vaseline body oil) while whacking off for a couple hours in the nights prior, and that softened the typically tougher, more resilient skin. Exposure to a vacuum seems to make the skin dry, but I think it helped prevent blistering. After my 3rd blister, I gave up until I could construct a “personalized” constriction sleeve based on an alginate mold of my cock. I just couldn’t get tape to prevent blistering after that first episode.

So, here I am, almost a year later without doing anything and I’m feeling that urge. I’m ready to pull out the mold and ecoflex and get to work on some sleeves. I will really miss the glans expansion, but if I get another blister, that is all she wrote for me.

As far as foreskin, personally I don’t care for skin on a weenie, well except for Nathan’s original hotdogs. But the general consensus here at TP is, like the water in a blister, foreskin is there for a reason, also. If you do consider adult circumcision, let me tell you, my brother had it done and, well, if you think the blister is a pain …

Good luck with it.

I ripped a blue sleeve tonight. Guess 20 pounds was pushing it.

Thanks for the reply BG :)

I opted not to pop the blister and let my body heal without interference.

As far as blisters go, I constrict my glans when taping so I get zero glans expansion and zero blisters. I figure my glans will get expanded when I pump. Just what I do…(did).

Hello slipstream :)

You’re post concerns me as I’m currently on a hanging hiatus by virtue of two big ‘ol blisters I suffered last week. Do I read correct that you put hanging on the shelf because you suffered repeated blistering in the same spot?

When I feel that the trauma from my blisters have completely renewed I plan to start hanging SO. With gravity in mind I think it will reduce the pressure considerably, ergo reducing the chance of blisters forming on the weakened areas. I need to mix up my angles anyway so its not such a frustration.

Anybody got any good ideas for a SO set-up in a bedroom? When I hanged SO a couple of years back I flipped a standard kitchen chair on its back, slid a portion of it under my fireplace chair(Which I sat in) and draped the rope attached to my weights over the now upright front lip of the kitchen chair. Problem was that the chair was obviously taking a big chunk of the tension and I could never accurately calculate how much weight I was actually using which bothers me.
I was thinking about getting a wee pulley wheel to affix to one of the kitchen chair’s cross bars that strengthens and supports the legs but I’d need a soldering iron or some other such tool to meld on another jutting piece of steel framing, set at an angle, that the pulley wheel can be hitched on to, thus meaning the weight can dangle freely in the air with the wheel being the sole apparatus taking any tension(If you didn’t understand that its because I’M stupid). I have no soldering iron, they kinda scare me, and I’m sure there must be a less arduous alternative.

I am not fond of these hangless periods!

Jack:
Go to Home Depot and buy a couple of those ceiling hooks they make for Swag-Lamps, and get a couple of small pulleys. Screw one of the hooks into the ceiling above your bed in a spot where the weights will rest on the floor at the foot of your bed, or on the bed between your legs. Make sure to screw the hook into a stud or you may pull the ceiling down. Do the same above the chair where you usually do PE. Remember, the weights only have to clear the floor an inch or two. I’ve got these little hooks all over the house, over my chair in the office, over the bed, over the couch, for watching TV and over my terrace where I can hang while tanning.

But don’t do anything until those blisters are healed up.

Slipstream. We may have to compare notes on making these sleeves. I haven’t bought any of the Ecoflex yet, just been playing around with making the molds. Seems there ought to be somewhere this stuff could be bought locally. Home Depot doesn’t carry it. I don’t want to buy a large quantity of it online until I get the hang of molding it. From what I understand, once you open it doesn’t keep well.

Probably best to use it all up in one massive molding, then just cut the sleeves as you need them. I was thinking about making them really long, like cutting the PVC molds to around three feet long. I have a problem cutting PVC. It would be easier to cut the sleeves. Only problem I see with this is it may be harder to vibrate out all the air bubbles in a three foot long mold.

However, I think most of the air could be removed in the container you pour it from. I was thinking of using one of those big measuring cups, with a spout to pour the mix into the mold, so a tiny pour stream could be poured in order to break any bubbles that actually survived my Deadly Thumpers.

.

I’m working with a tiny dermal, here.

To the guys who got blisters while taped, do you have any thoughts on why you still got a blister?

Had the tape come off the skin where the blister had formed? If so, in that same area, does the tape normally stay stuck to the skin, or does it normally lift off during the sets?

Had the tape become wet or something?

I think that the area of my skin that is most susceptible to getting a blister, without taping, is the tip where the force of the vacuum seems to focus (although I do use the splint idea of Panas and dlm4 which is a big help for comfort).

Fortunately, I do find that the tape sticks completely to this area throughout my sets. When I take the tape off, I really have to peal the tape off slowly (under water) from this particular area. Even still, am sure I lose layers of skin and sometimes chunks :-)

To get the tape to stick tight, I always wash my unit completely with natural soap, and then make sure the high risk blister areas are completely dry to the touch, drying with a bit of infrared heat and tissues. I reckon that this gets rid of skin oil and moisture, and means the tape sticks best.

I also find that when I’m putting on the tape my glans get a bit compressed. Once taped, I kegel and hand clamp a bit to force blood into the glans. This expands the glans which I think forces the tape to stick on even tighter.

Touch wood, but I don’t see how a blister could form with the tape stuck to my skin so tightly there.

The area that I am most worried about is under the glans … the ridge (frenulum?) area. No matter what I do, the tape seems to lift from this area during my sets. At the end of the sets, the area is a bit puffy. I do try to counter this by wrapping a long piece of tape around the circumference of my glans, going over the frenulum as tightly as possible.

So far no blisters for me, and I hope it stays that way :-) Unlike some of you guys, I don’t use a lot of weight, as I do my main sets with a Bib, and just use vac hanging as a kind of ADS. However, being able to hang 20lbs with a vac hanger, and no blisters, would be handy.
