I have been hanging with a Vacextender set for about 2 weeks now, i started out with 2.5 lbs, but I didn’t feel much stress at all, I’m now onto 5 lbs.

My question. Is this normal for Vacuum Hanging? Am I using too much weight too early?

I started off doing 3 sets at 20 minutes each.

I am now doing 5 to 6. I’m probably going to tone it down a bit, because i hear that going to high too early will make gains harder to come by.

Use extreme caution with vacuum hanging as they can be misleading.. The vac extender is relatively safe though. I also recommend warning up and cooling down every time between sets

Be careful at the higher weights when using a Vac hanger. I experienced pretty bad discoloration on my glans from using it over the years that I have been unable to remove and this occurred even while using a high quality 3M micropore tape during my sets. At around 15+ pounds, I really suggest you switch to a different hanger but it will probably take you some time to reach that weight.

I would do longer sets. I think optimal duration for hanging sets is 40-60 minutes.

Is this only with vac hangers? Would you suggest the same time for a bib?
