Types of weights ppl use

It seems like no one ever talks about what kinds of weights they use for hanging. I would be very interested in hearing what people use. Are most people just using typical weight room barbell weights (2 1/2lb, 5lb, etc) or what?

I am just about to order my first hanger (monkeybars Vac-Hanger). I’m curious if there are options out there like weights made out of lead rather than iron so they are more compact, rubber coated so make less noise, etc.
