Tunica question

Tunica question

If the tunica does in fact become tougher over the course of a PE career, and gains become more difficult to achieve, does the toughness persist over an extended break, or do the tissues revert to their original strength (thickness)? If so, could be a reason why extended breaks allow for a rebound growth?

soflsun,

In every situation I have ever looked at, once the stresses are discontinued, the atrophy begins almost immediately, weakening the tissues. This includes ligs, tendons, muscles, and even bone. Look what happens to a broken limb in a cast for six weeks.

I believe, with little doubt, the collagenous tissues of the penis react in the same way.

>If so, could be a reason why extended breaks allow for a rebound growth?<

That is the theory.

Thanks Bib, I hope that wasn’t too redundant. It’s hard to search for the answers to everything…and find them.

So is there a good rule of thumb involved? Like If you work 3 months straight, wait at least half that time on break to restart? Or does it need to be equal or greater in length than the time used to train?

I know Lewd Ferrigno personally.

Good question Twat. I know one thing for sure; after almost 3 months of PE, I finally took my first multiple day break (2 days) with absolutely nothing, and upon workout today I had my first red spots since I was just beginning. Two days can seem like an eternity when you usually take one day off at the most. Anyhow, even at this short of a time, something changes. What, I don’t know.

For when to take the break, I would say it is a personal thing, a rule of thumb might encourage people to be lazy, if you know what I mean. It would be tough to advise people on this, because only the individual PE’er knows how much effort he has really put in over that 6 month plateau or whatever, and also, some people break through plateaus by persistance, so perhaps for them it would be better to keep at it.
But yes I agree that the length of the break should be based on the length of the plateau. I suggest a 10 week break *maximum*, for any length of plateau (even years), but less should suffice in most cases (IMO).

Yeah that’s the annoying part of multiple day breaks, the skin takes a beating when you restart. I can hang for a few weeks without so much as 1 red dot. After a day off, they are out in force.
