I started hanging this week with 2.5 lbs. I have a bib hanger. After a set the Theraband hurts like hell when I take it off. Feels like I am pulling skin off with it.

Matter if fact like an ass hole I tried to use vet wrap and it hurt OMG bad coming off.

I am uncut and I do skin back as far as I can so the wrap is going on virgin skin pretty much.

I used to hang before but I don’t remember this.

Any advice?

You can try stretching your penis out to break the seal between the Theraband and the skin before unwrapping.

I use HTW + What-A-Grip + Theraband.

The theraband rarely ever touches my skin & I’m hanging pretty comfortable. I’m only doing 10lbs right now (6x sets), but I’m pretty sure this wrap will take me a long way.

What is HTW?

The HTW is a scunci model 17906-A, cut in half and rolled onto your penis like a condom. Its a very thin layer of cloth that does a good job of gripping, yet protecting my skin. I find I can put lotion on my unit (e.g. a small amount of cocoa butter lotion, or Eroset Vein Oil / EVO) and it still grips me just fine.

What What-A-Grip is a very thin rubber tube designed for a tennis racket handle. It does an excellent job of holding my HTW in place & I find its great for preventing slippage too— my #1 issue with the HTW is that it tends to roll up on its own. The What-A-Grip makes wrapping easier for me, and it doesn’t slip either—not with theraband (silver 22mil) on top of it.

I find the What-A-Grip by itself is not too comfortable, but I have found combining the two items doesn’t take much time at all, and I’m pretty comfortable hanging. Now I have been able to focus more on hanger settings & less on wrapping.

You can experiment & see what works for you. Avoid making your wrap too thick; that can cause issues, but at least for me, Theraband alone just didn’t work out.

HTW & the What-A-Grip are both pretty thin, so they don’t seem to be creating any problems for me. Sometimes if your wrap is too thick, you’re forced to make the hanger too tight (to prevent slippage), I’ve heard of guys bruising from this (e.g. an ace bandage + theraband—I’ve heard bad things about that).

When I’m not using my Theraband over the What A Grip I usually just take the theraband off normally. It doesn’t bother me anymore. I remember that feeling though of skin being ripped :(

Do you use theraband only while hanging 20lbs?

I know my technique or wrap will likely have to change or at least be more ‘fine tuned’ by the time I reach 20lbs…

The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

I tried cotton ages ago but never liked it. I think the main reason I like HTW + What-A-Grip is that even if the theraband gets ‘messy’ my inner wrap stays mostly where it should be, even after multiple sets. Part of this is because with good technique you’ve got to have your wrap relatively loose & your hanger tight (i.e. the wrap must allow circulation so you don’t have to remove it between sets—this means I’ve got to keep it somewhat loose).

I still have to occasionally re-wrap, but I found it a lot more tedious trying to do 2x wraps (SS or Cotton + Theraband). In fact, the way I have it now, re-wrapping is a snap—it doesn’t take me much time anymore.

I’ve tried many ways of wrapping with hanging, and I’ve used ideas from many sources; for me personally the wrap I recommended above works quite well. I’ve probably wrapped myself more than a thousand times by now (early on, I kept re-wrapping over & over trying to make things comfortable), so I have put a lot of effort into testing things.

I look forward to testing my current wrap at higher weight; based on how it feels at 10lbs, it really doesn’t seem like I’ll need to change the wrap. I’ll probably be more likely to remove the gel inserts from my bib hanger than I am to change this wrap. However, if things get uncomfortable, I’ll be searching for something new all over again ;)

I guess in a round about way, my main point was don’t wrap theraband directly on your skin. Your method also sounds good. :up:

Ah yeah, very few guys can handle thera-band directly on the skin. Personally, I can’t.

I think the videos are very helpful too.

Aside, some guys probably wont like my method—it works for me, but others might not feel the same.

i use baby powder+elastic bandage[15inches] (for injured wrist or something like that) and on top of that i use theraband[15inches] it feels great.I am also with brand new bib starter

I wrap with ace-bandage under the theraband, so that the theraband is never actually touching the skin, or it just touches lightly. I hang at very heavy weights sometimes (15+ pounds) so yea, the theraband with the remnants of the tape on it will stick to the skin and it hurts when peeling it off.

I tried cloth and even an old t-shirt and the pain was worst. Could be I’m just a pussy but it about drops me to my knees.
