Hi Fellas,

I have been lurking here for over a year now, and finally have started to gain some PE experience. I’ve been PEing consistently for 10 months now. Four months ago I started hanging. After a few different style hangers I’ve settled on the home-made bib, using one of the red cable clamps we all love to secure the hanger. I never had any marked soreness from hanging, and currently have to hang with 9 pounds to reach fatigue. Two weeks ago I introduced Infra-red heat into my warm-up, and also use it for the first ten minutes of each set when I hang. Now I can feel a marked soreness on the inner part of my penis near where the penis attaches to the pelvis. I also had to stick with seven pounds while hanging as the new heat from the infra-red really helped with the pull. My question is: Is this necessarily a bad indicator for me? The pain doesn’t feel like it’s a lig, as it is inside the penis. It also doesn’t really hurt while hanging, just short, random pains once or twice a day. Again this started after I introduced the infra-red into my routine. Anyone with hanging experience know what might be causing this random pain, and am I finally hitting the penis the way I should be?

BTW: I’m harder and much hornier than I’ve ever felt since starting to hang. The heat lamp seems to have made me even more so. No negative sexual issues have come with the pains I’ve been getting.

Best thing is to lay off the heat for a while.

You may have scorched your penis inside as Infra red does heat up the inside of your penis as well as the outside.

If it doesn’t get better then see a Doc!

Thanks for the replies so far. I know pain is a bad thing. It’s just that one would expect some sort of pain when your stretching tissues beyond their limits. I imagine their is the “written” and “unwritten” issues that experienced hangers have from over the years. I have been taking a little break just in case my penis is ready to rip off.

This is a great indicator in my opinion! Your max weight is down and you are fatiguing your tunica by the sound of things. You didn’t mention any pain while hanging, and random pains a few times a day can be a sign of tissue deformation and growth. Now don’t go crazy with the heat, you don’t need to scorch yourself! If it were me, I’d be very happy to be getting these sensations!

Thanks Rushmore. I was kinda happy getting these pains. There is no pain whatsoever during hanging. Just sharp little pains throughout the day. Have you experienced the pains I’m talking about?

I’ve experienced occasional sharp pains before. And, I agree with Rushmore that they are probably a good thing. I always assumed that they were related to healing.

Thanks for the replies Gentlemen. I would love to hear more opinions from people on here that have experienced similar things. This being a public board I can only imagine that pain is a taboo kind of word. But my experience with hanging so far tells me minor pain and discomfort come with the territory. The pains subsided after a couple of days off. After another session yesterday I felt a minor pop in my lig area, but no pain. Nothing is confirmed yet, but I believe I have made a half inch gain since I started hanging. I do believe Petitfaun was right in saying I may have been over-heating my unit. At the same time I now agree with all who praise the use of heat. More importantly the heat from the infra-red lamp. Everything feels way different with your unit being warm, or a little hot to the touch.

What angle are you hanging? How are you using the heat lamp…when I used mine in the past, it was too bright for my eyes. I felt kind of weird PE’ing with sunglasses on!

I hang mostly BTC, and I have a pulley setup I use 2 times a week for straight out stretches. The only light coming from my lamp is right on the bottom of the bulb, the rest of the lamp doesn’t allow light to pass through. I don’t know if yours is different Rushmore, but the light is pretty much all concentrated on the area I point my light at. I can look straight down at the bulb shining on my hanger and not feel any harm to my eyes.

BTW, it’s a 250 watt infra red lamp

This sounds to me like the ‘zing’ Bib used to talk about.

Not trying to be insensitive, but I’m more questioning any gains from all this. I’ve heard great things about infrared light and was wondering if you noticed any gains?

I always feel encouraged when I get to this stage of hanging. I try to ride the edge right near that inner pull feeling.

I can’t say for sure if the infra red helps gains. I can tell you I’ve gained a half inch mostly from hanging, which I started four months ago. I have a tough member, so I couldn’t feel anything with manual stretches.

Before infra-red I was holding nine pounds, and not feeling overly exhausted after hanging. With my hot, infra-red toasted ligs and fibers, seven pounds has me aching and actually enjoying my workout toward the end cause everything is stretched the HECK out. I can’t attest to gains yet of course. But deep down I know the feeling is completely different.

For me the feeling of my boy being pulled deep down to the core is awesome, and heat does sure intensify things a lot.

Yes I have felt pains similar to what you describe. Again I have always thought of them as a good thing. They have never been real hurtful pains but more of an ache.

I do not use a lamp but I am a big fan of heat. I use microwavable “bucky” bean bags. They are filled with buckwheat shells and produce a nice moist heat.
