OK guys, I need a little feedback here. Have been searching and found nothing.

I only started SO hanging yesterday. Have always hung SD or BTC.

According to the LOT theory (I’m about 7.30) thus I still have a little to aim at in the lig department. However, although I certainly haven’t spent thousands of hours hanging, I feel I should have had more gains for my efforts (don’t we all?).

I now feel that I should have been attacking my tunica all this time. So yesterday I worked out how to hang SO. And here are my questions. There are threads on weights and friction etc, but what concerns me is the difference in which the penis “reacts”. I wrap exactly the same as for BTC, however, both the wrap and the hanger (this did not happen BTC) tend to ride up over the glans, and I’ve found myself tightening even more, but to no avail. There is absolutely NO skin stretch whatsoever, I hardly have to bother with that problem while hanging.

Yet, my skin, especially under the shaft, puffs up much more and rides over the glans, regardless of how much I try to pull back while wrapping. I have done half a dozen sets and I have discoloration for the FIRST time ever. The puffiness of this mornings set has not yet gone down.

FYI, I hang BTC 20-25lbs and I’ve been hanging 25-30lbs SO, using a nylon cord over a aluminum bar - not sure what difference the friction would back, but I get a good pull, and I can feel the fatigue very well. The angle is about 10:00.

I have the same problem as you and i asked bib about it. He said to wrap more looser so i tried it with good results. I still have that friction but now much less than before. I also pull the skin way back but ‘que va’ it still gets puffy but like i said not as much as before. Curious, how much have you gained from sd and btc since you started hanging and how long have you been hanging?

Simply because I just piled on the plates until I maxed. Was more comfy than BTC.

Bib has stated before that the tunica requires more weight than the ligs to stress and fatigue.

OK, we might not be on the same page, so don’t hesitate to get back to me. It is ok for a little skin to ride over the glans at high weights, but you do not want the hanger to ride over the glans. You have to realize, the tighter you have the hanger, the tighter the hanger will make the wrap. So, when you tighten more, you have to loosen the wrap more. That should take care of the fluid buildup, and probably the discoloration.

Now, as for going up so much in weight: It is true that hanging SO or OTS is easier than BTC, and requires more weight to stress these tougher tissues. But, you have to allow a little time for the soft tissue bits to adjust to these higher stresses. The skin and smooth muscle linings of the chambers are not used to these stresses, so even though your collagenous tissues can handle the higher weights, you still must go up slowly to allow the soft tissues to adapt.

One more thing. Concerning the riding of the hanger, etc, you might try putting your shaft in the shaft well at a slight angle, up and/or down and see how that works. Sometimes even a few degrees can make a big difference.

Try this stuff, and if it still does not feel right, PM me. There is another thing I will want you to try, but not the general public. Just a test kind of thing.

Just tried two sets - loose wrap seems to have done the trick, and starting a little more towards the glans, keeping the skin under the wrap.
