Hey guys. First time poster here. I have been PEing for over a year now and have made gains with the newbie routine. I was up to 7” BPEL when I had to take a break due to privacy issues and a new baby. Over the last month and a half I was able to get back into a routine. I really found manual stretching a chore due to my hands getting tired so I started a hanging routine. My hanger is homemade but very functional. My routine is not everyday but pretty consistent. I usually do 2-3 sets of 20 minutes and have worked up to 7.5 lbs. Yesterday after my hanging session I measured BPFSL and was up to 7 1/4 inches. I was pretty surprised as I felt as if I wasn’t going to make it past that 7 inch mark. I hope to keep consistently hanging to give it a chance and see if I can make some BPEL gains. I think I will really have to keep track of measurements using BPFSL because erect measuring is tough for me. Its hard to maintain a 100% erection just to get a measurement. Anyway, just wanted to say hello and I love the site. I check it everyday and have learned a great deal from everyone here. Thanks guys.

BPFSL gains usually translate into BPEL gains so you’re on a right track.

As of December 5th 2012 7 3/8" BPEL and 6 1/8" base girth.

Thanks guys. My hanger is pretty basic. I usually wrap with a piece of ace bandage however I need to find something better as this tends to slip now. The hanger is a piece of neoprene can koozie. This goes over the wrap. Then I have a piece of 1 inch webbing about 8 inches long. I place the webbing on the sides of the neoprene and then secure it all with a cable clamp. In the ends of my webbing I have tied a knot so it won’t slip under the cable clamp. I us a small caribiner to connect the webbing to my weights. I also use a loop tied with the same type of webbing to loop through the weights which is what I secure the caribiner to. I will try and post some pics of this setup.

I use a redi-clamp with a hook attached to it. Many of the veterans said it wouldn’t work, but I’ve hung 12 1/2 pounds off it without slipping.

I also wrap with Saran wrap and electrical tape, which also doesn’t work, according to some.

A-unit. I’m up to 7.5 lbs with mine. I have noticed it’s slipping more which is why I need to try a different wrap. I though about some grip material for tennis racquets / baseball bats.

My wrap, while unorthodox, grips well as long as I take the time to build it properly in the first place. I asp leave it on between sets, unless I have to see a client personally as it can be quite bulky.

I’ve hung with as much as 12 1/2 pounds and its secure consistantly with 10 pounds while standing and swinging back and forth.
