Restarting PE

ticktickticker i have read some of your old posts and i respect your knowlegde about PE. I may not have your experience but i would like to suggest you a manual stretching-fulcrum stretching routine.

I have faith that fulcrum stretching with heat is the most effective method to gain length. A 30 mins of simple stretches and side fulcrums stretches routine is definitely worth to try.

Tick this is a progress report I recently put together. It’s missing somethings that I did along the way when keeping track wasn’t important to me.

I came back to PE in early 2015 after many years way, most of my gains have been in girth. I was around 4.75 meg when I got back now I’m around 5.5 and up to 6 if I use a cockring.

If I get the time to hang today it’ll probably be for 2-3 set of 20 mins at maybe 5 lbs since I took two months off. My last routine was 3x20 up to 10 lbs followed by a clamp and air pump maintenance routine. I can’t do 6x20 anymore, it’s too time consuming and honestly I start to lose it mentally.

Thank you for your suggestion.

Personally I don’t like manual exercises because I cannot concentrate on something else at the same time.

I already started a hanging protocol with low weight and long hanging periods.

Thanks for sharing, I checked your reset thread.

With the added info that you want to hang today, you seem to be combining manual exercises, pumping, clamping and now hanging.

Theoretically, hanging is for length wit probably some effects o the base girth. When I started PE I used an ADS with some success (length only, as expected). I doubt that pumping is very effective, at least for me it wasn’t, neither air or water pumping. Clamping in my experience works best for girth.

Now I was doing the same unsystematic PE combining all types of techniques in my first active period from 2005 - 2008. From what I’ve read in the last weeks, I now believe that it would have been better, had I focused on one technique at a time.

From the reading, a few impressions that sound convincing:

- length work first (ADS, hanging, manual, only one direction of force, straight down first)

- girth work only once you reached your length goals (clamping, jelqs)

- no shotgun approach (one technique at a time for a long time)

Let me know what you think about these ideas.

Well I didn’t get to hang today but I should be able to tomorrow

I agree a lot of guys haven’t had success with pumping and I suspect that’s all they did. I think pumping needs manuals or clamping to be effective. Fortunately I have had success with it but again I add other things in.

While I see why most guys feel length before girth I don’t agree with it because I we don’t gain the same or in the same ways. I have I hard time gaining length but an easier time gaining girth. Had I stuck to length before girth I’d have given up on PE and I would have never gotten to where I’m at with girth. I think that’s the key, finding what your gain potential is, from there form a routine. That’s why I still incorporate some kind of girth exercise. Tho when I hang the girth stuff is more for maintenance.

I never pump before hanging that I feel is dangerous and would be painful. If I’m able to hang tomorrow the routine would most like be 3x20 mins at 5 pounds followed by a clamp session of 10 mins. As time goes on the routine will change and a 15-20 min pump session would probably be added in on some days. I’d also add back in the stretching before hanging in at times thru out the day aka piss pulls.

Man, you are experienced and it is definitely beyond my scope to influence you.

My point is, that I now feel, that my previous attempts to make gains where hampered by doing so many things almost simultaneously. I bought three ADS devices, three Bibs, two vac hangers, multiple tubes for pumping (because of increasing girth, due to clamping as I suppose).

Let’s all pursue our path. Keep growing and, if you like, sharing your experience with me. I really appreciate.

I just noticed that my starting weight was only three pounds (instead of 5, as stated in one of my previous posts in this thread).

I guess that it’s why I am able to hang three times a day for periods of around one hour since yesterday without any discomfort. However, this resembles rather an ADS approach instead of a hanging routine at this time.

I am trying to continuously improve my wrapping technique in order to be able to stand higher weights hopefully without discomfort in the future.

I will continue adding small weights (only 1 pound) on a weekly basis and measure my PBEL only once a month as suggested by others. No other PE techniques.

I have prepared an EXCEL spreadsheet to keep track of my PBEL.

Suggestions highly welcome!

Your approach is sound and you’ll do well once you find your groove. I feel the same about doing too much simultaneously and I know my routine sounds like too much at once but it’s really not as intense as it sounds. I suspect once I hit a higher weight like 12 ish pounds I will have to stop pumping all together or at least on hanging days. I forgot to mention when I hang I do 4-5 days a week and not at all on the weekends. I haven’t hung 6x20 min sets since last year, it was way too time consuming and way way too mind numbing. Unfortunately with all the holidays and days off of school the past two months here in the US my routine has been inconsistent.

I use a bib starter and even tho I don’t have nor would I buy a malehanger I do like his wrapping technique and his videos are very informative. I don’t like theraband and I really can’t grasp bibs wrapping techniques. I’m a visual and hands on learner, pics and words do me no good when learning.

As time goes on for you give clamping after hanging a shot, I think you’ll be happy with the results. It’s the same as bib did with the uli’s thing unless I miss interpreted what he wrote.

Anyway happy hanging!

Thanks king, I wish you luck. Again, if time constraints are a problem I would focus on a single approach.

Anyhow, you’re not a newbie and know your dick better than anybody else.

I wish you luck and hope that we will continue to share ideas, protocols and progress.

Hey man I just did a “kingscounty” search and realized how active you are. Also I appreciate your PE knowledge and must apologize to have given you suggestions. I am now rather supposing that you read about everything and was smiling about some of my posts which were directed kind of from a pro to a novice. My apologies!

No way man, I’m by no means a pe guru or know all that much more then yourself. As I’ve officially reached middle aged I’ve found you can learn something new from anyone at anytime regardless of where there at in life. The fact that you’ve done some of the same things as me piqued my interest and I feel your spot on in focusing on one thing at a time it’s just hard for me to not get overly enthusiastic and try for more. I spoke openly on here about being an addict in recovery and that part of my brain doesn’t stop it just kinda finds something else to obsess over. PE is one of those things and I have to remind myself to keep a healthy balance. One thing I’ve come to realize here is we can succeed together or fail together and in order to succeed together we need to learn from each other and stay open to ideas and theories.

May be not a guru (jet) but definitively one of the most active guys in the forum!

How about you?

Good shit Tick! Not yet, it’s look like tomorrow I’ll hang about an hour and maybe 1 clamp set after. I’ll figure out the weight on the first set but I’d like to start at 5 lbs.
