Easiest way to start this discussion is by an example.

1000 hours of hanging spread over 6 months will probably yield results.

5000 hours of hanging spread over 20 years will probably not yield any results.

I wonder what the minimum treshold for gains and optimal hanging time for… let’s say a year is. Those who use very heavy weights might not need as much, I know.

I don’t get what you want us to comment on? Estimate how much gains you will get in a certain time?

I know you’re using such a low weight, you’ll have to hang many hours a day for results. Just hang at least 10 hours a week, you might or probably will need to do more considering your weight of 2.2lbs

I agree with the conventional advice that at least 5-10 hours per week with moderate to heavy weights is needed in most cases to see appreciable gains.

Then I will probably have to do like 4-5 hours daily since I can’t go further than 1kg with my current setup. So I’m actually doing some kind of ADS thing but with a hanger (and traction wrap).

Essentially, yes. Most ads devices are 2-4lb range for slow steady gains over a longer period. Gradually increase weight as you progress.

Isn’t comparing 0.7 hours a day to 5.55 hours a day a bit extreme? :)

I think 1.5-2 hours a day should be fine.

1000 hours in 6 months isn’t realistic at all. That’s like 40 hours a week. Who has that kind of time, n if u did would u want to be pulling your Dick all day long. It probably isn’t safe. I mean all I do is an hour a day thats 4 hours a week

ADS requires quite a lot of time.

We will find out eventually what worked for me. Currently I do about 3-5 hours on a good day. Around 1 hour on a busy day. Once I get one of those longer sleeves for traction wrapping I’ll put more of my time into that, since it can be worn under pants.

5-10 hours a week under load is easy. What amount of weight would you define as “moderate” and “heavy”?

Well, in the old days guys generally held time constant (before ADS, hanging required an awkward setup, so 5-10 hours a week was the most that a lot of guys could afford), and gradually increased their weight over the weeks. Most seemed to find get their best gains once they reached the 7.5-12.5 lb range, which I would consider “moderate” to “moderately heavy.” It depends on many factors, though.

The ADS of today is convenience in a nutshell. That is it’s main selling point.

You can wear it and get your time in throughout the day, at work, while reading, driving, etc.

If you don’t have the privacy or time to commit to a hanging routine, jelqing, pumping, etc then the ADS gives you the opportunity to accomplish your PE goals slowly, gradually, discreetly and conveniently.

No ADS is convenient, really. You’ll always know it’s there and you can never be comfortable with it as you’re comfortable without it. Not to mention in the summer.

My ADS weighs more than that.

I seem to recall Bib hung heavy weights all day long for years. He claimed over 10” of erect length from it. This may be true for some, but I’ve pretty much come to the conclusion that some dicks just will not stretch, or at least BPEL gains are not possible for some people, no matter how long or heavy they hang.

As the old sayings goes, you can’t get something for nothing!

I wear mine relatively comfortably in the warm months. This is the kind of drive and dedication that will separate the men from the boys, so to speak. If you’re willing to sacrifice some comfort then it will help achieve goals. More convenient than finding 20 minutes every day to hang 20lbs of your Dick kind of convenient. PE tends to be a stealth art.

Well I’m trying to figure out something about ADS, but I know I won’t be able to wear it more than 3 hours a day. That’s why I’m committed to my manual routine and gains are still coming. :)
