Hi Bib,

Looks like I’ve got the time/privacy to hang again and I’m giving it another shot w/my Bib Starter. Seems like I’ve master wrapping this time around as well. My current routine is 6x10 minute sessions w/5-10 minute breaks. I’ve found there’s too much darkness, cold etc. when going past 10 minutes. My current max is 12.5 lbs.

My questions are:

1: Fatigue - I feel a worked out feeling in the ligs but generally have to reduce weights after 4-5 sets because of fatigue/soreness on the sides of the bottom half of my shaft. Is this normal or a hanger position/tightening problem?

2: Discoloration – getting dark at the tip of the glans toward the end of my later sessions. Most of the time it goes away within 60 seconds of removal of the hanger. Is this normal or a warning of some sort?

3: On a previous post a long time ago, you mentioned that anyone would have gains with a 10 hrs/week (5 x 2/day) routine. Within the context of that post you were stating that a good hanging routine and tenacity would offer quick enough gains to keep someone motivated to continue. Do you feel that’s still applies? My goals are to work up to 2+ hrs hang time a day. I’m hoping w/a 9:00 LOT, I can grow from 6.625” BP to 7.5 BP by the end of the year.

SS4 has a good thread on allowing the soft tissues to adapt to the stresses. It sounds as if you might not have gone though this process. Perhaps you need to reduce the weight for a time, to allow the strength of the skin, vessels, and smooth muscle to adapt.

It could be an adjustment problem. I assume the soreness is in the area of hanger attachment? If so, you may not have the bottom adjustments out far enough.

It is not abnormal, but also, you may not have the hanger tight enough for 12.5 lbs. Remember, you want to grasp the internal structures, and try to keep the hanger from sliding down too far to impact the head. Also, you may have too much blood in the head to begin with.

I don’t believe I ever said that. Most guys should have gains with ten hours per week. Provided they are able to hang the amount of weight which will break through their first limiting factors.

Yes, for most guys this is true. They do need to work according to their LOT, and try to push their max weight up to a point that causes fatigue.

Your goals are surely possible. Be sure you work the lower angles, attempting to go to BTC.
