I saw the impressive gains you made very early in your pe career, and I was wondering if during this time you were jelqing or hanging. If hanging, at what weight did you begin to see the most gains?

Sorry it’s taken so long to get to you - a lousey slow internet connection (50 bytes/sec) has prevented me from accessing as much of the forum as I needed to during the past few days - it was taking 8-10 mins to download a page!

I only ever jelqed (and never very enthusiastically) for about the first 2 weeks of my PE career. Since then I’ve hung exclusively and used traction type devices like Traction Wraps and ADS.

I was one of the very lucky ones who saw gains immediately even with weights under 10lbs. Most of my gains were achieved in the 10-15lb range - I’ve never needed to hang any more weight than that.

If you are considering hanging remember to start off with light weights first and concentrate on your wrapping and hanging techniques before moving gradually up to heavier weights.
