Qs -- SO hanging for Bib and Vets

Qs -- SO hanging for Bib and Vets

Following Bib’s LOT theory (mine is very low), I’ve switched to SO hanging over a chair using the starter Bib. I’ve discovered that I have to tighten the hanger and move it farther back than when I hung BTC in order to keep it from riding over the glans and putting too much pressure on the head. I’ve also discovered that there is naturally more pressure being placed on the head at this angle but I’m monitoring it carefully. Extending out the hanger straps and adjusting the hex nuts has helped keep this pressure down. I’ve been hanging using 17.5 lbs with heavy monofilament as the attaching line which helps weight loss from friction with the chair down.

My Qs concerns fatigue and stress level as well as tunica stretch and toughness. I don’t feel any soreness, in the tunica or otherwise, the next day (I hang 2-3 sets, 20-25 minutes) like I used to with the ligs in BTC. Is this normal or am I not creating enough stress on the tunica (I can feel that it’s pretty tight when I palpate behind the scrotum. It also feels incredibly strong, almost like a heavy duty cord, and that it would take some doing to stretch) and should I be upping the weight? I do feel a little bit of a dull ache during my sets, but the intensity of feeling is much less than BTC.

My second Q concerns gains to be realized. I know Bib has stated that tunica stretch is more difficult. I found when I hanging BTC that I could sense the hanger being closer to the floor after about a month and that I was getting a good stretch and could see and feel it after. Here (admittedly I’ve been only at it for 2 weeks and also haven’t measured) there doesn’t seem any change in the stretched length while hanging or shortly thereafter. Is this something I can expect to see change? Will it the change be far more gradual, because of tunica toughness, than with BTC?

I do believe that Bib’s LOT makes sense based on my experience so far (I gained about 1/4 inch in 3 months from BTC). One seeming way for me to tell is that when I hang SO (which is basically my erection angle) and palpate the lig bundle it moves around quite freely. There is a little tension there but is not tight like it would be at the lower angles and I can feel that it is the tunica that is bearing all the weight. That seems to suggest that over the near term and possibly the long haul, I (I’m perhaps repeating the obvious here I know) will have to focus more on the tunica than ligs to get length gains.

I also changed to SO thanks to the LOT theory, after some but very, very slow gains BTC. I have a lot more difficulty with wrapping, pressure etc as you have mentioned, and till now have not found a comfortable solution, and I’ve tried many things. I HAVE felt some soreness, albiet very slight, in the lower shaft (more like base to hanger area) generally when I repostion the hanger for another set.

As to your other questions, I feel I’m in a worse situation than you to suggest any possible answer.

I sent this to Guiri in a PM. If you have a problem with the hanger sliding down at any angle, try it.

“First wrap with whatever you think is best, but wrap loosely. Then, tighten down the hanger the way you normally do. Then, perform a twist and stretch, just twist however much you can while pulling out. Did the head turn? Now, twist back the other way and see if the head straightens back up. Now, tighten the hanger some more and repeat.

Do this until the head does not twist anymore. Then try to hang a set and see what happens.

Every guy is different. I always had a harder time with wrap and tightness hanging OTS than anything. I had to really tighten a lot to be able to hang enough weight to reach fatigue. Your biggest problem might be SO. But it appears all of your problems are related to the hanger sliding down.

Many guys do this: They tighten down to the edge of discomfort. Then wait thirty seconds to a minute. Then tighten some more to the edge of discomfort. They repeat this a few times till the hanger is very tight. Your penis should adjust, and the channels in the hanger should allow blood flow as long as you do not wrap very tight. Then, when you apply the weight, it is very comfortable.

Other guys tighten a couple more times AFTER they have applied the weight because the hanger will loosen slightly as the shaft is stretched. You have to pull the weight up when you do this.

This is not unusual. In fact, most guys report good fatigue when doing lig work, and less when doing tunica work. Also, the upper angles usually require considerably more weight to reach fatigue. It surely was for me.

You have the correct idea of the situation. For the reasons you stated above, the tunica is harder to make progress in. Just get a plan and stick to it and it will happen for you.

You seem to have done the research and gained the knowledge to get a good grasp of your situation.

Now, get busy.

Guiri,

Let’s compare notes as time progresses as we seem to have the same LOT issues and are starting SO hanging at roughly the same time.

Bib,

Thanks for the suggestions on hanger slippage and the more general encouragement to persist.

very good stuff for SO (tunica) hangers.

I dug this up from, well 2 months ago. I have been having trouble doing OTS, and SO also. Bib’s answers seem to be just the thing that I needed. All OTS and SO hangers should read this!
