Or what? There may not be. It might require more time, or more weight, in order for you to deform your tissues enough to measure a gain. That is just the way it is. Different for every guy.

It is different for each individual. Some may be able to do it immediately, and some may take months to work up to ten hours per week.

Okay, I’m updating:

I got in 10 hours that week, no discernible gains, so I did a light week. I started upping the weight to my max, which at this point is 17.5 lbs. After a few days I noticed a pretty clear gain, of about .25 inches. Plateau busted! I’m on my 5th day of increased weight; going about an hour and a half (with breaks) of 17.5, going to 12 if I feel really sore or fatigued. I alternate OTS and BTC. I use a heated rice sack during OTS.

I watch episodes of Buffy. Somehow that seems appropriate.

So it’s a success story. Onward and upward. Thanks for the input.

(Noticed some chaffing and dryness around my circ scar, which is where the top of the bib starter attaches. Some of that dry skin pealed away this afternoon, when I was putting lotion on it. I just hung for 25, and noticed what looks like little blisters around that area, I’m hoping that they aren’t little blisters, little blisters would suck.)

Congrats on busting the plateau. That did not seem to take very long.

You should try to KEEP a good high quality Vit E lotion on as much as possible. It really helps keep the skin in good condition. Always put some on before you go to bed, and at any other time you can.

Okay, two days later, a day off, and I measured; it is really just a little more than an eighth of an inch. But it is a gain. So I’m going to add some more weight and go for that other eighth. I really want the gains. I’m suffering through my first 20lb sets.

Vitamin e is great advice. I’ve had some on my bed table. It is doing the trick.

You should not have to suffer. Do not go up in weight too quickly, or rather; do not do more than you unit can withstand, especially considering the soft tissues.
