Old hanger saying hello and asking some questions:)

Hey guys,

How`s everything?

Back in the day I was really eager to start hanging because I heard of Bib`s gains and I thought it was THE way to gain.

Unfortunately I had way too little time and privacy to do it without killing myself. I survived doing the bare minimum sets needed and got some small gains, but in the end it was a real pain and lots of stress.

From this fall I will start studying and most likely spend at least 6-7 hours behind a desk daily. I see the potential for being able to hang while getting my work done.

A few questions:

1) Would there be any benefits in using an VAC-extender for the first period or should I go straight onto hanging?

2) Those of you who hang regularly. Honestly, how is your erections and sexual life? Personally I remember having reduced sexual functionality(both sexdrive and erection levels), but lots of stress may have been a factor.

I`m not sure if I want to sacrifice sexual health, even if just for a period.

3) If I hang consistently for 6 months 2-3 hours daily. Is a 1” gain realistic?

4) Is BIB`s hangers still the way to go? I had the starter back in the day, but unfortunately I got rid of it. I also heard lots of talk about VAC-hangers?

I`m uncut btw.

Thanks in advance guys,

Much appreciated.

John

Here’s something on your question #4
I’ve been researching some of those exact same questions for a little while now, and I’ve recently asked something nearly identical to question #4 in a different thread (within the last few days). I’ve had no experience hanging, so really the opinion I’m sharing is an assessment based on reading thousands of posts recently. If you don’t like what I write here, simply ignore me.

4) I was told by a few older members that if you’re going to hang, Bib’s hangers are still by far the best way to go. Also note, I’m in the process of purchasing a Bib hanger currently, based on what I was told.

I did consider a Vac-Hanger:
The obvious benefit on Vac-Hangers is that they are much more comfortable. However, I’ve seen complaints on vac-hangers because they only go up to 16lbs (perhaps they can handle more, but the weight seems quite limited). Some hangers then switch to a bib hanger & have to go through a period for their skin to adjust (initially it seems some people have a little discomfort as they go through an adjustment phase—especially compared to something like the Vac-Hanger). Some time is lost since they can’t handle much weight until their skin is done adjusting.

It seems if you plan on hanging only a few hours a day, and you’re going to be hanging long term. Perhaps it’s likely you’re going to need more than 16lbs at some point. If that’s the case, the Bib hanger may be the best choice.

Good luck getting answers on the other questions.

1) I think if your dick is not used to being pulled on AT ALL, then any kind of light stretch like that would do something. A manual stretch routine, vacextender, golf rings. All hanging is really doing is pulling harder than you can.

2) I have lots of sex. And my erections are great because of viagra!

3) If you’re smart about it, I’ve heard of gains like that. Maybe a little less.. I usually squeeze out 1/8 inch on a good month.

4) The bib will take getting used to but I think it’s definitely superior, and agreed with blink on the long term hanging piece. You’ll need a bib for the high weights.

I haven’t tried a vacuum hanger. I had enough issues with fluid buildup from light/moderate pumping. Supporting weight (meaning applying even more vacuum) didn’t seem like a good idea. I don’t know where the 16 lb. figure was found. I’ll bet that most vacuum hanger advocates and salesmen would say 16 lbs. is unrealistic.

In my opinion, clamping hangers such as Bib’s are still the way to go. Hanging using any device isn’t “set it and forget it.” You’ll need to monitor the condition of your penis (color, temp, feeling) during your sets. Learning how to wrap and attach requires experimentation and practice.

Multitasking is possible while hanging, but a portion of your attention must remain devoted to your pecker. I was fine browsing the web, answering e-mail, doing some simple research online and similar tasks that didn’t require heavy thinking. I wouldn’t want the distraction if dealing with matters requiring serious concentration.

I never had any erectile problems from hanging.

>If I hang consistently for 6 months 2-3 hours daily. Is a 1” gain realistic?

Same as all PE methods, results from hanging vary. Some gain relatively easily, yet others get little or nothing even after months or years.

Blink2000 mentioned skin conditioning. A certain amount of skin slack is required for the weight to be supported by the “internals” (mostly the engorged ends of the CC’s) instead of shaft skin. Circumcised guys often need to spend some time deliberately stretching skin.

Hobby, thank you for pointing that out. Yes, I made a mistake! I think I’ve read many people can’t go over 7.5lbs because of the fluid buildup.

Thank you all for your input!

Highly appreciated!

I`m still on the fence as to which hanger to decide for.

Vacuumhangers seems more comfortable and easier to put on. They also have the added possibility of being used as an ADS when leaving the house.

Then there is the weight issue.

Some people seem to think that heavy weights are not optimal, but rather recommend lighter weights for longer periods.

I will have to do some more research.

Either way, I`m pretty sure I will start hanging.

I’m a big proponent of vacuum hanging. I would of never started hanging with those noose style/ clamp style hangers back when I started. Vacuum hanging does take some getting used to but I don’t think it’s much different from the Bib, you still have to adjust to that. It’s also all about the style with which you attach the hanger and how you put on the sheaths. Plus there is a thread on here about making your own sheaths. The one with the endcap will almost entirely eliminate fluid build-up. Stillwantmore has also came up with a way of attaching the MV-II which greatly reduces the chances of fluid build-up.

Vac hanging offers a different quality stretch. And it is very much possible to hang >16lbs even without added vacuum, it’s just easier with the the added vacuum. You can also hang over 20 min with a MV which is another reason I chose it. I’m in college and I study while I hang so the less I have to attach and detach the hanger the better.

Thank you man.

I`m considering the MV over the regular BIB, even though there seems to be very long delivery time.

Have you been gaining anything? Is the hanging so comfortable that it does not interfere with your studying and concentration?

I`m studying myself as well, but studying is the highest priority for now:)

I absolutely agree.
Question: I couldn’t quite figure out how to use the sheeths with the endcap. Explain, please.
