I’ve read read read to put together a routine that seems to make sense to me, and so that I wouldn’t end up p*ssing everyone off with a ‘most often asked annoying question’.

However I’ve just received a very caustic post from Wadzilla— it seems I’m still not in posession of all of the facts, and I need a little help

My PE History:

• 8 months of Penimaster (at an average of 6 hours per day )

• For the last 2 months of those 8 months I’ve ‘Power Jelqed’ (4 second jelqs for up to 1 hour every other day)

• 1 week of hanging (averaging 4 hours a day at 5lbs BTC)

Would the above PE have given me enough conditioning to begin hanging at low weights or should I shelve the BibHanger?

If the above is good enough conditioning to begin hanging, what weight should I start at and how should I progress?

Should I hang, should I revert to the newbie routine, or do I need a more advanced manual routine?

Please help.

Prior to these last two months had you done anything besides just the Penimaster? Have you taken any kind of break at all. I would think you are well conditioned to begin hanging but maybe you should incorporate a break first then slowly get back into it. Nothing long maybe just a week to 10 days. Here’s a thread on the subject, I am sure there are more.

PE breaks in your routine

When I started I didn’t know how to measure properly so I don’t have accurate figures but I have gained using the Penimaster.

I apologize for wad, sometimes he seems like he is ranting (well sometimes he actually IS ranting) but I don’t think he meant any harm this time.

Maybe try doing the Newbie routine along with your hanging for a couple of months. Your first month or so with hanging is usually spent learning how to effectively use the hanger anyway, so throw in some jelqs and stretching while you “learn” how your hanger works.

Beav, hanging is the most safest way to go if done correctly. You condition as you go, that’s why you add weights or sets. There is a thread called “Hanging 101” by lil2big1 that I would suggest you read. It is a Newbie Hanging routine just as the newbie routine in the newb forum.

I don’t have a clue if you are conditioned enough to do anything, that is your call.

Only do what you are comfortable doing and what seems best, you will PE longer with this approach. It sounds like your confused. What post from Wadzilla?

Thanks, I was doing that originally before I decided to ramp-up the weights ;)

I got some great advice on hanging from bud_do also, plus I’m going to check out the link that RTG posted.

Hi Beav-

I think Wad’s post was a good one. I agree with Thunder, I don’t think there was anything vitriolic about his post. To the contrary, I think he was trying to emphasize his opinion (and mine too BTW) that the smartest approach one can take to PE is to tease out early gains with manual methods until such time as other approaches (including decon) become more conducive to gains. His comments regarding conditioning are particularly salient, IMO. In short, I think Wad did you a very great service in alerting you of these things…it clearly worked.

You have a somewhat unconventional PE history, having not done traditional manual work, so its hard to ascertain the relative degree of conditioning that your unit has aquired to this point, which renders the giving of advice difficult. Nonetheless, if it were me, I’d do manual methods, searching for the right balance of work and rest, until gains slow/stop. Only at that point, would I consider things like hanging. If you see no gains over some period of time, say 6-8 weeks of manual work, then that may also be an indicator that it is time to consider other things. I would not go to hanging until my penis gave me very clear notice that the good times of (realtively) easy gains was over.

xenolith— thanks, I think you’ve convinced me to try out the manual routine, but I’ll probably hang a little bit as well.

I’m wondering if I should continue with the Penimaster while undertaking the hanging & manual routine?

As for Wad’s post, I think it was unnecessarily ascerbic. It was not for want of attention that I was unaware of the complications envolved with early hanging. If his intention was to help me he only needed a sentence or two to do so— if he’d taken the time to read the thread and not just the thread title he would have understood that.

I believe most types of ADS, including the PM, complement length training.
