I actually just have a very specific question. How do I know if my wrap is actually pulling my inner structures or if it’s just pulling skin? I have a hard time distinguishing the two. Is it something that just comes with practice?

If it was pulling skin and not attached well to the internal structure then the hanger would probably slip down your shaft as far as possible right behind your head. Even though that’s a poor hanging technique, even then it may not be pulling just skin.

You will know for sure if it’s pulling skin if the skin feels sore, mainly at the base where there is some hair, the skin will feel extremely tort also. During the first few weeks of hanging, I think for many they need to stretch some skin anyway.

Hmmm, no matter what I do, I can’t seem to wrap my shaft in a way that wont leave my glans cold? Is it ok that my glans gets a little cold? I can feel it and it doesn’t get numb, but it gets cold when hanging.

You may be wrapping to tight, you want to confine, but not strangle. My head can get a bit cold towards the end of a set. The thing is to also keep an eye on the colour, you dont want it to go deep blue to black. This can lead to tissue necrosis.

How long are you hanging?

Your wrap will always pull the skin forward; this is why you start it 1.25” behind the glans (this way, most of the pressure goes to the shaft, and ideally no pressure goes to the glans). If you’re uncut, your skin might pull forward more; in that case you might need to start the wrap even farther back.

If all the pressure goes to the glans, then you know you’re wrapping wrong. If you feel the pressure on your shaft, ligs, etc (not your glans), then you’re on track. If you’re mostly stretching skin, you’ll feel something like a burning sensation. Sometimes skin will be a limiting factor, and if its your most limiting factor, then you’ll feel a skin stretch especially during that time.

Also, about your glans getting cold:
When you first start hanging, I think this is almost unavoidable. I think once your circulation improves this will become less of a problem, although I do also find that depending on the weather outside, sometimes my glans get cold no matter what. As long as you’re restoring circulation for 10 minutes, in between sets of no longer than 20 minutes, I think you’ll be OK.

No matter what I do It’s pretty much only skin. I just can’t seem to get as good a “lock” on my internal structure as manual stretches.

Is this supposed to be the case or am I just wrapping wrong?

Wrapping is a skill that takes a while to master. I also think most guys get a feeling of skin stretch for a while after starting hanging, but it seems to go away if you stick with it, once the skin has adapted to the stresses. May take a few weeks though.

Wrapping with one hand whilst holding the penis out may take a while to master. So I never bothered and just wrapped my dick when flaccid then stretched out after.

I myself never could really get the hang of attaching the hanger onto the internals really well and that’s after about 6 months. I’m now just hanging close behind the head.

When you glans go cold are they hard? When I hang I always seem to trap some blood in the head and its not hard like when erect but definitely inflated some what. If I push it it is still spongey though….I imagine it would be the hanger screwed too tightly but any looser and it doesn’t get a good grip.
