New to hanging, need some clarification

I’ve done quite a lot of reading on hanging with my bib starter ordered and on its way. I do have some questions which I’m still unclear on, any help would be appreciated.

1 - From my indicators BTC seems it has to be the focus of my schedule. However, I’m also aware of SO and OTS hanging. Seeing a picture of BTC really helped me visual what I need to do, but are there any pictures or setup pictures of how to easily hang SO and OTS?

2 - I’m uncut and while I’ve seen the wrapping thread, I’m still not quite sure what I do with my foreskin. I’ve got quite a lot of skin, do I leave it natural then wrap as suggested? Do I pull the skin tight away from my glan and wrap, or retract it slightly and wrap? Any suggestions?

3 - I’m aiming for 10 hours hanging per week. The suggestion appears to be hang 7 days unless you are too sore, is this accurate?

Thanks in advance. Any other advice much appreciated. I’m hopinh to see some results from hanging in the next 4-6 months.

(3) is really quite disputed. I made some gains from an IPR-regime, and that was with two rest days between each session. As I understand it Bib suggests doing that, while others suggest the following rest day schedules.

My instinct is to take a rest day, but I’m really not sure!

Ruz, I’ve had a Bib starter for some years now.

Hanging is a skill that takes some time to master, so don’t be surprised if it takes you a while to learn how to wrap, adjust your Bib, etc.

I’d concentrate on SD for your first while hanging: BTC is extremely intense, and OTS has reportedly caused a lot of discolouration and injury. Start out easy.

Why do I always hear about OTS being more risky and can cause discoloration? Is it because of the sharp angle against the pubic bone possibly causing circulation issues?

I could be wrong but if you go from SD or BTC to OTS there’s more slack in your skin which will put the tension which previously was taken by the skin on the glans with discoloration and an increased risk of slipping as a result.

I’ve found OTS to be the most uncomfortable form of hanging. When I do it, which is rare, I drop back to only five pounds of weight. I have a five pound weight tied to a rope that I attach to a cable clamp and hook to my captain wench. Then I just let it gently fall over my shoulder. A towel on your shoulder where the rope crosses will greatly relieve the discomfort. My recommendation, and I am no expert, is to start with SO and at very minimal weight, say a pound or two. Once your skin has stretched some, you can then more comfortably move up in weight and to other positions. For straight out hanging , I attached a small pulley that I got for about three dollars at a hardware store, to the bottom side of my computer desk. Thread a piece of rope about 18 inches or so in length through the pulley. One end has a cable clamp used to attach to my hanger, and the other has two laundry soap jugs full of water. This is about 17 pounds and is way too much weight to start out with. I actually spent my first two weeks, using just a commercial door knob as a weight. It weighs about 2 pounds and was just right for my “breaking in” period. When I hang straight down, I use a gallon jug of water ( a little over 8 pounds) if I’m standing. If I choose to sit and hang straight down, I attach the five pound plate and just let it hang over the edge of a chair, and watch television or whatever I want to do. Hope this is helpful.
