Mystified Hanging Beginner

Hello all,

I’m getting back into PE after a few years break. In the past on a newbie routine I gained about .75, however that has healed up and gone away. I’ve gone through another newbie routine and I’m trying to start hanging. I have a Bib’s starter.

I’m uncircumcised, and about 6” BPEL, and maybe 3.3” flaccid. Maybe the Bib system is easier to use if you are cut, but just attaching this thing requires an octopus-like level of manual dexterity that I don’t have.

First— the beginners hanging guides say to attach about a 1/2 inch behind the coronal ridge.. Well the Bib starter is about 2” long, and you have to hang flaccid, so if I go by that, I’m out of dick before I can even attach the thing. So if I just slap the thing on me, it’s pretty much grabbing me right behind the coronal ridge, with a pretty neutral toe-in. Then, I can’t for the life of me keep this thing reliably attached to me without sliding off. It will shoulder a little tissue forward, against the head, then in about 5 minutes just slip off the head. I’ve used a theraband and a baby sock for wrapping at different times as I tried different things.

If you are uncut and have a short flaccid length, how are you supposed to use these things? Just the handling time, wrapping everything up, setting up the weights, the warm up, attaching the hanger without pinching yourself anywhere, and monkeying around with my skin so it doesn’t just fly off me take longer than the maximum set length! And I’ve been trying to refine this for about a month now. Is there a more convenient system than the bib hanger for uncut people? Or some way to make it easier to use? The actual hanging isn’t really a problem, but the set up is just a huge mystery to me. Maybe 1 time out of 4 I can actually get the thing to attach to me and stay for 20 minutes without sliding off the head.

Thank you for any advice!

Hi mate
Moved you thread to the hanging forum where it’ll hopefully get more responses.

Have you looked into vacuum hangers ?

Thanks for the move.

I have— apparently the set up is easier but they are more expensive to support long term due to the sleeves breaking? Is that a pretty accurate one-line summation? And I understand the weight is limited with them as well, although I am no where near maxing out the weight limit for a vac hanger currently. I have used a bathmate before, is it a similar idea? Because I found the bathmate to be somewhat difficult to use due to having low bodyfat.

Once you get used to the bib it’s easy. Make sure you use lots of heat. You’ll be more pliable that way. If you stretch a little while heating, your flaccid will naturally be a little longer. Make sure to wrap properly. If you use a cloth underwrap you can keep in a somewhat extended state making it easier to wrap with theraband. Also pulse pushing while tightening is VERY important. Persistence is key with the bib. It may take a month of spending more time putting it on than actually hanging. There’s a learning curve and you may get extremely frustrated with it, but once you get it you’ll be able to attach it quickly with no slipping or twisting throughout your sets.

The big plus with vac hangers is they pretty much only grip from the head ( somewhat depending on how long your sleeve is )
You can hang with no skin stretch which is great.
Sleeves last months if you look after them and aren’t really expensive.
Also you can hang much longer sets, easily an hour without breaks.

The downsides.
Most folk seem to have blister problems getting over 10lbs but it’s doable.

This is interesting— I’m not too worried about the cost as secluded time for me is a lot harder to come by than money. I was under the impression that you did not get a strong growth stimulus at less than 12-15 pounds, which is about maximal for the vac hanger, as I understand it. And the blisters are due to the vacuum pressure, I guess? I’ll do a search on that. Do you recommend a particular vac hanger?

I was considering the captain’s wench, since it is pretty cheap and it seems to distribute the load a bit more evenly than a bib. I don’t want to sound impatient with the bib, because obviously patience is a key part of the game— but spending months learning how to use it is just too inefficient. If something needs that much finesse, it won’t be a good fit for my personality.

I think the long continuous sets to some degree make compensate for the lighter weights, I got some small length gains from around 8-9lbs.
I’m using monkeybars vachanger 3, it works great, heard good things about the LG hanger in terms of build quality but it’s expensive and works the same way.

I built a wench a few years ago, I reckon the bib will be way better.

Tie slipknots on both sides of a shoelace. One side grabs your glans the other anchored someplace like a doorknob you can attach your bib alot easier.

I think that bib does a pretty good job at support; you might want to ask him for advice through his website. You should be able to get the bib starter to work with the right wrap and the proper adjustments.

In your case, I’d stretch out the penis and put the hanger on as close to your pubic bone as possible. You might want to trim your hair so it doesn’t get caught in the hanger.

I use a silicone sleeve as a wrap with my bib, and find it works pretty well. It is also easy to take on and off, and it compresses the glans so my penis doesn’t get cold while I hang. But there are many different wrapping techniques, and you need to experiment to find the best one for you.

When I put the bib on, there are two bolts on the bottom of my penis, and one on the top side. I leave the bottom ones fairly loose, and push my penis down while I tighten the top one. Then I go back to the bottom two and tighten them. This pushes my penis toward the bottom of the hanger, and puts less pressure on the top side. It also lets me make the screws pretty tight without cutting off circulation.

But bib is the expert when it comes to wrapping and tightening the hanger. His advice is probably better than mine.

Live long and prosper.

Hi ErnieBanks,

Just a question, where do you can find this silicon sleeve. Well I live in France so if you can provide me a web site address so I can find something similar in France too.

Thanks by advance.

I gave it another shot last week and tried something totally new. I didn’t use any wrap, at all, I tightened the rear screws about 70% of the way to the stops, and applied a lot of baby powder to the contact area on the shaft.

Wow. Huge difference. No skin drag where the bib slides off the head, with the rubberized liner and the baby powder it’s got tons of friction to really hang in there. And without all the wrappings or what have you the set up was so much easier. Heat up penis— dust with powder, clamp on the hanger, done. I’m not going crazy with the weight yet (obviously) but so far I can do 2 sets of 45 minutes at 5 pounds with zero problem as far as the attachment goes, or my glans getting cold/purple etc. I was making this entire thing way too complicated. The only problem I have now is that my ligs are SORE but my EQ is still solid.

This is promising news for those that are uncircumcised and looking to start hanging. Difficulty attaching and slippage are the main things holding me back from purchasing.

One question. Did you keep the skin covering the glans or did you pull it back?

Thanks

Most people will advise you not to use a compression hanger for longer than 20 minutes.

That advice is quite standard, but not 100 percent accurate. Controlled hypoxia causes an anabolic reaction.

That being said, don’t take a nap with a timer set for an hour. Ease into it and check constantly.

What is funny is I have always said 20 minutes because that is the guideline I have always read here and other places.

Yet I never even questioned it.

I am guessing that it was originally based on tourniquet usage. However, there really isn’t a set guideline for tourniquets that I can find. I am tempted to add time. My concern is after reading the complications it scares the crap out of me.

I think I might need to do some more research. Just not sure if the reward outweighs my risk.
