My Craftsman Shoe Handle Hanger.
Hi Hangers,
Well, as the Bib’s are out of production, I needed a hanger.
Problem: North has no heat gun, dremel, drill, etc…
So…I went looking. Inspired by Hubbard’s AFB’s and such, I stumbled across this in my local Sear’s department.

There was a nice curve to the handles that just begged to grip a cock. Bought two, sawed off the wirebrush parts and tossed them, keeping only the handles, screwed in a metal hinge at the back (where I had cut), put an adjustable tie wrap through the holes, and looped a chain between the tie wrap and the hinge (you could use a shoelace if you are so inclined).
Presto, nice comfy hanger.
(I wrap with an elastic bandage)
Tools required: saw and screwdriver.
No reason not to hang now. I apologize, I do not have a camera…but it looks similiar to hotrod’s hanger…only a bit nicer.

Essentially, the handles are used rather than a meter stick, the metal hinge replaces the nylon rope knot, and an adjustable tie wrap (from Albertson’s) is used rather than a bolt and wing nut.
I haven’t worked up too heavy weights, but I think it will do just fine.
Cheers!
