Masturbation and Hanging

So I haven’t been able to find a definitive answer on whether or not masturbating before hanging hinders gains. I apologize if this has already been discussed. I have a hard time not getting erect every time I put the hanger on, so I started masturbating real quick just to get flaccid. I actually wish I didn’t have to do this since I’m trying to masturbate as little as possible. I’d like to know how others have experienced this and if I could get some feedback. It’s just time consuming to wait for my dick to get soft again, and then I’m attaching it, and then I’m getting hard again, and it can take up to ten or fifteen minutes just to get the damn thing on. If I choose not to masturbate, will this problem eventually go away?

I had this problem too before becoming erect during warm up. What I do is after warm up I tug my penis under my thigh. This makes it go flaccid and it takes a bit longer to get erect and gives me time to wrap it. Sometimes I will have to place it under thigh again after wrapping to get it flaccid to get into hanger.

Yes I’m talking about with ejaculation.

I really don’t like doing this because I’m really not trying to jack off every time I want to hang, know what I’m saying? The problem for me is I don’t want to trade the ability to hang with the sensitivity of my dick. Thanks for the input bigbassman I’ll try that and see if it works for me.

That sounds good Millia. Do you continue to masturbate before hanging or have you stopped doing that since? I mean, do you feel that effectiveness of hanging has decreased at all?

I don’t see how it could hinder gains. I recall wanting to do some PE one night but got an unexpected invitation for some late night sex with wifey. After the festivities, I was still pretty awake so while she slept I did some stretching and my dick was stretchier than ever. It was like I had a 45 minute warmup before my PE. Of course this wouldn’t work for a girth routine but may possibly be beneficial for length work. If not beneficial, I would think the net result of having a wank before hanging would be neutral.

I still do it occasionally but I have completely changed my whole routine from what I was doing before when I made the gains. Before I was doing power jelqing, clamping, and hand jelqs before masturbating and then hanging. Since then I haven’t gained shit in girth so I decided to just hit length first and then work on girth. So now I’m pretty much only hanging and not masturbating.. I found that while I enjoyed masturbating, doing it too much and to porn was causing me to become desensitized, so as you can imagine I have stopped doing it as much.

I don’t feel as if the quality of hanging has decreased at all, but I tend to think that if I don’t warm-up properly I won’t be getting as good of a hang as if I pre-masturbated. Instead now what I do is stretch my penis out as much as it will go and stick it in between my thighs for 20-30 minutes and by the time I take it out of there it is very loose and floppy, ready for a good hang!

My opinion on the matter is that you can search on any PE forum and read how masturbation is detrimental to gains if you’re manually stretching/jelqing because that act of ejaculating causes the penis to tire out and turtle. But I say if you’re a hanger, you want those tissues to be tired out when you go to hang because it is only beneficial. If your dick is going to naturally be tired and going to turtle and you’re going to hang, your essentially going to deform those collagenous tissues that are already tired and turtled up. Which leads to a better hang and better gains.

But this is my opinion though, I can’t scientifically support any of it, it’s merely just my observations.

Millia: I know exactly what you’re talking about, and how masturbation is bad for jelqs and other exercises, and that’s why I started this, since I haven’t really found a definitive answer regarding masturbation before hanging. I too am trying to do length before girth, most people say it’s easier that way. Desensitization like you were talking about is the exact reason why I don’t want to do it - I went a very long time without it and it felt good, but now it’s like I need it just so I can hang. Sometimes dicks having minds of their own is just not good haha.

Short: Lol trust me I never thought I’d be writing that till I came to TP. Just that if I don’t do it before hanging, it takes a long time, and it becomes harder for me to get all the fluid out of the head, making it harder to hang without discomfort.
