This is my first post, but Ive been lurking for a while reading what I can. I’ve been hanging for about a month, first with a homemade hanger and for about a week with a BiB Starter. The BiB is great to use and I dont seem to have the problems that quite a few beginners seem to have with slippage, cold head etc.

Now, from what I can gather my LOT is between 7 and 8, although I still get a slight tug back at lower numbers. I have been hanging 10lbs BTC for usually3 sets of 15, 5days on 2 off. Im getting a strong soreness at the base of the penis which causes me to struggle with the same weight in later sets. I assume this is the ligament fatique that everyone is after?

My point is that after hanging , when I manually pull on the penis, the base does not hurt if I pull straight out. However, when I pull at around my LOT I start to feel the pain. This suggests to me that it is definately not the skin that is hurting but the deeper ligaments and that I seem to be on the right tracks if this is the case. Does this mean that I am correct in continuing to concentrate BTC rather than at higher angles? Would a lack of ligament fatigue be absent if BTC wasnt the right angle for me?

Don’t be apologetic - you know your stuff! (Well, at least as much as I know my stuff, which isn’t saying a lot. ;) ) It seems to me that you should continue with your current routine. What you’re describing is almost certainly lig fatigue.

It sounds like it.

It is possible to stress the ligaments, and feel discomfort, without the ligaments having potential for gain. However for you, I would recommend sticking with the BTC angle until you no longer have gains for a month or so. Then, switch to the upper angles.
