I have been hanging straight down while my body is prone because this feels to give me the best lig stretch. When I hang BTC it just pulls the hell out of my skin. Am I doing something wrong?

Yes, you are trying to take too severe an angle too quickly. It takes time for the skin to stretch and adjust. If you sit in a chair to hang, you can scoot down a little more each day. If you get too intense of skin stretch, straighten up a little. In a couple of weeks, you will be at a true BTC. Or, you can do a true BTC now, but with much less weight.
Thanks Bigger. Is hanging straight down in the prone position better for gaining length or is BTC?
If you have a high LOT, BTC is better, but straight down is fine until you require a more severe angle.
