Light vs heavy weight and hanger placement

What is the longest amount of time to hang at 1 session? Is 20 minutes optimum?
What if i hang heavier for a shorter amount of time, like 20 lbs for 10 minutes?
I’m asking because i was hanging SD, SO over the desk 10lbs at (3) 20 minute sessions for a month, and nothing changed
I should add weight correct, so i went SD, SO over the desk at 15lbs (2) 20 minute sessions with fatigue setting in faster for a month and nothing changed, thinking about adding that 3rd session
Big question is, is it better to hang lighter weights for longer time, or heavier weights for shorter time?
If i stick with 10-12lbs, i can easily go 30 minutes
Also placement of the hanger. I do place 1 1/2 or so behind the head, but what about towards the base?
