Not sure what you mean by ‘junk turned upside down’. Are you sure it was definitely the ligs that were feeling the burn, and not the shaft? If it were me, I would rest until it went away before continuing.

I also think that this is too much for a newbie (to hanging if not PE). I guess you did a lot of extensive PE before hanging to be able to handle that weight. I strongly recommend you lower the weight and begin to build it up gradually.

I sincerely hope you are right about this, because if you’re not the result could be pretty bad.
