Is five pounds enough to hang

I have been hanging about two weeks. I have hung up to 10 pounds, but find that 5 is comfortable, and I can hang that amount while still being productive in my office (home office). My questions is — is hanging 5 pounds for about 10 20-minute sets per day likely to produce results? I am using the Captn’s Wench and it is very comfortable with that weight.

I started hanging at 2.5 and am now at 5 with the wench after one month.

Did you say 10 sets? Thats a lot. Make sure you don’t hurt yourself.

If you’re feeling fatigue than five pounds is fine. Some people think heavy weight is better; Some think lower weight and lots of sets works better. You’re going to have to find out what works for you.

So you can do 3h20min of hanging. If you don’t feel fatigue or discomfort after your second hour, you should increase the weight by 1-2 pounds and see what happens.

Right. I started with 2.5 pouns adn now do 9 pounds, but my second set, right after the first and following 10 minutes or warming up, uses 5 pounds.

10 sets of 20 mins ?!?
Man that’s a lot of hanging. Good for you to have that kind of environment for that, I’m jealous.

Everybody is different. For some, 5 lbs is heavy, others it’s not. Since you’ve only been at it for 2 weeks, (you didn’t mention if you’ve been doing other PE prior to this), I’d suggest going slow and increasing weight gradually.

Your dick should feel fatigued from hanging. If your sets produce nothing like fatigue, then the weight needs to increase to see results.

I think 5 lbs can be enough.. But it really depends on the angle. For example. If I’m standing up, and hanging straight down.. Then it make take 20 lbs for me to feel a big stretch. However, while I’m hanging BTC, laying flat on my back.. 10 lbs is about all I can handle for my morning hour session.. Then for my night session.. I have to drop down to 5, as the ligs are just too sore. I say hang as much weight as you can, while fulfilling your time/set goal.

I think the “right amount of weight” is the amount that produces “fatique” of the last 5 min. Of the second 20 min set. The third set should feel about the same as the second. If you can do a forth you might have to cut it to 15 min. Because of fatique. When this stops working it is time to move up in weight.

A while ago I did a little experiment hanging various weights up to 6lb and measuring the extension. Here’s the result of what I found.

Stress_Strain.JPG

Looks like at least at least 3lb is needed to extend the penis beyond the point where the tougher structure (ligaments/tunica) takes all the additional stress. At 5lb you are at least making sure it’s “fully” stretched. Don’t know if additional weight after that will make faster gains.

PS strain = elongation/original length in the chart - so the bigger the strain the bigger the stretch.

This may seem painfully obvious, but do you guy’s hang with the PE weights that Monty sells on his site? If not, what do you use instead?

I am using barbell weights. I have 2 1/2 pounders and 5 pounders, each with cloth looped through to hang from an “S” hook on the end of the wench. I have never been able to feel that “fatigue” I read about. So, I have gradually increased my weight for hanging to 17 1/2 lbs. I don’t know if the wench is geared for that much weight as I am getting soreness but no fatigue. I want to increase even more and last week ordered a BIB hanger. Hopefully, that will help to see some gains.

Also, I am wearing 4 golf weights for most of the day as an ADS. And when not hanging, clamping, pumping, or wearing golf weights, I keep a traction wrap with a TheraP wrist wrap. But, alas, no new gains since the first month.

As you see in my signature, I’m a firm believer in Monty’s weights. I feel they are the best ADS on the market and I feel no PEer should be without them. However the lead rings are not enough by themselves. You need to hang heavy first to break down the ligs, and then wear the rings as long as possible to heal while extended. I only take mine off for sex and PE.

800V: Five pounds is a good start for a beginner. You are doing a lot of sets, that’s good. I believe with any PE routine a lot of mild sets always beats a few intense ones, especially for the beginner. However, you mentioned you can hang 10, but five is more comfortable. I suggest you stay with five for a while and slowly up the weight a pound or two as you become more conditioned or until you can hang ten comfortably. At that point hang ten for your first set or two, and then lower the weight back to five for the rest of the day. Once you are done for the day slip on the lead rings and wear them as long as you can. When you go to bed do what I call Bed-Fowfers. Tuck your flaccid between your legs and sleep on your side. You are very fortunate to be able to hang in your office all day. I’m doing the same only with 25 lbs. But I started two years ago with five.

Good luck

No Nukes

Everyone will have their own starting point. I started at ten pounds, five felt like nothing to me. Find a weight that’s comfortable yet heavy enough to give you a nice firm stretch.

Also keep in mind that your dick, not the hanger, should be the limiting factor in how much weight you use. In other words, if your hanger hurts or is really uncomfortable, you need a better hanger not a lighter weight.

Good luck to you,

MX

Thank you for the response Big G, however, I was refering to the weights used during the hanging session itself rather than the weights used for ADS. I’m assuming I could just use some of the 2.5’s and 5’s or even 10’s from my weight set, correct?
