Is a Vacu-hanger more convenient than a Bib?

I want to get back into hanging but I don’t really care for the Bib hHnger. Not because I don’t think it works, but because I absolutely loath wrapping and the 20 minute and under sets aren’t exactly fun either.

But is Monkeybar’s Vacu-Hanger really more convenient? I like the idea of not having to wrap and extended time sets but it seems as if just about everyone has problems with blisters and fluid buildup. I have read about taping your head with medical tape but that sounds like it is just about as much of a hassle as wrapping for a bib hanger.

So I have read a ton about Monkeybar’s Vacu-Hanger but am not sold one way or another. So I guess for everyone who has one, would you recommend it? I am especially curious about those who have tried other hangers before and now use this.

I would reccomend them both. I use my Hardcore Starter for heavy hanging and the Vac-Hanger makes a dandy ADS. The wrapping is an art in itself, I’ve done well with a sleeve with the Bib.

You can probably invent a new wrapping technique for a vacuum hanger that avoids some of the hassle of tape, but it will never be perfect.

The real benefit of the vacuum hanger is longer sets. Your reward for the hassle of taping is the ability to do multi-hour sets.

I’ve struggled with the vacuhanger. I had high hopes with the ease of use and longer times. But I’ve only been successful with wrapping to handle up to 6 pounds. And at 6 pounds I’m not able to get to “fatigue”. I am revisiting my bibstarter for now.

I can’t hang.

My experience with the vacuhanger has been very good: one inch in gains with intermittent use over the course of one year. By intermittent, I mean intense use for a few months and then a decon break for a month or so. If your interested, you can read about my progress here.

I have been on decon break for over a month now. Life just got really complicated and I haven’t been able to devote the time to PE lately.

The other benefit is how the vac hanger pulls from the head and directs more tension to the inner penis rather than the skin.

Hence, theoretically, you can get the same results with lower weight.

It is probably good to use both, and like you already mentioned, the vacuhanger will also come in handy as an ads.

Like some others, I find the Vacu-Hanger most useful for long sets at light weights. I’ve never gotten blisters or serious fluid buildup, but I don’t like the way my glans looks after doing heavy weights with vacuum hanging (I fear damage). So I induce fatigue by hanging a couple of heavy sets with a clamp-style hanger, then strap on the Vacu-Hanger with a few pounds for a few hours. It’s fantastically convenient and utterly comfortable.

Well I would if my scrotum wouldn’t get irritated, turkey neck and all.

Your scrotum gets irritated from vacu hanging, or from the extender?

The extender, it’s not really a big deal, I just have to move the skin around a bit every thirty minutes or so on the underside. It’s not an issue with the Vac-Extender, it is a great product.

I wrapped the arched part of my extender base with a piece of mouse pad covered with slick cloth medical tape. It helps. If you walk around a lot while wearing it, some rubbing is inevitable.
