I have a Vac hanger that I love, I’m uncut and I have thought about the bib before but I don’t know if it would be that good for uncut guys?

Many uncut guys are on Bibs forum.

Yeah I was reading that some do after a search, I think sometimes I read one thing and it sticks in my head and then I never look into it again :)

Anyway the vac is all I need at the moment but if I ever max out the weight on the vac then ill look more into a bib I think.

I take it you use a bib then?

I also meant to say that I went to B&Q to get the Vice and pulley and they didn’t have any pulley type things, Although the guy I asked was the biggest tool ever! Anyway I didn’t have time to wait for someone else to ask because it was too busy and I needed to pick my daughter up. So ill look again tomorrow and see how it goes.

It’s the only hanger I’ve ever used. In fact, alot of guys on Bib’s site have used the Vac, and they said it sucks compared to the Bibhanger. I can’t say either way since I’ve never tried the Vac.

I`m really tired of writing about uncut vs cut hanging. There really is no difference. Trust me.

Yes, there is a learning curve to the Bib, but that applies to both uncut and cut guys. The thing is that I suspect uncut guys who meet resistance in their “training phase” start blaming their lack of being cut instead of their hanging technique.

Search out some of my olds posts here or go over to Bib`s forum to read what I wrote there.

As for Vac vs Bib, I can`t say since I did not try both, but I do believe that if you eventually need higher weights you might have trouble with the Vac and then might risk starting all over again with a Bib (or similar clamp-style hanger).

kimc,

You should try Homebase if there’s one near where you are. I got a pulley (they have a few different types) at my local Homebase last week and I attach a G-clamp to my desk then attach a small karabiner to the clamp and then put the pulley onto the karabiner. (You can get small karabiners there too). I could have got a pulley with a screw attachment but that wouldn’t have worked as my desk has a top made from chipboard or mdf. I get a brilliant pull now that I am hanging SO.

Any place that sells farm equipment will have a large supply of various pulleys to choose from.

I'm consistent in spurts, but gains are undeniable!

Cheers man, I’m actually going to my visit my dad in a couple of days and there’s one near him so ill pop in. The b&Q near me is the worst b&Q in the Scotland no joke! Every other one iv been in have had helpful staff and it’s been easy to find things! The one near me I’m sure is run by ASBO kids!

If I ever reach a stage were I need more weight and can do it with a vac then I will buy a bib. Iv been looking on bibs forum today, loads of good stuff over there.

Hopeful2hanglow yeah I never thought of that, There a ex farmer at my work thats one of those guys that has everything so I might ask him if he’s got any but make up a story for what I’m using it for :)

Oh my Philips IR lamp arrived today and it’s really good. Has a large panel on the front which is brilliant, can just set it on my desk and tilt it and sit back.

Also another thing, I think iv been getting mixed up between fulcrum hanging and a v stretch! Is the rice sock that bib hangers use the same for all hangers or is there a different version?

You can use fulcrum devices with any hanger, the only difference between them is the space available for them because some hangers are bigger.

Try to use proper spelling and grammar, kimc, this is an international forum and it will make it is easier to understand each other.

I’m not sure if you can use other hangers with a rice sock, as I have only used a Bib in my PE career. If money is the issue in purchasing a Bib, it is way worth the investment. He will fix anything if it gets broken on it, you just pay shipping and handling-$5.

Sorry Piet, I’m not the best when it comes to grammar but ill try.

No it’s not a money issue, I enjoy using my vac at the moment.
