I want to start hanging but...

I want to start hanging but...

Hey guys, my concern is the following one:

I’m a guy who lives with his parents and family yet, I don’t have economic independence, and don’t have any kind of privacy but my shower-or-crapping time in the bathroom. But I want to start hanging. So, the thing is that I can’t buy any kind of hanger, and I was wondering if stretching hard (recognizing the limits of the penis, of course) could fullfill some of the gap between these exercises. I was thinking if you have another option or alternative that I’m missing. Or how can I build easily a hanger. I’m currently getting ready for the time that newbie routine don’t get me any results anymore, and hanging is the most viable choice I guess. It’s something I want to try but kinda don’t have the resources to make it happen.
Hope someone could advice me about my issues. Every answer is appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Because of your situation, I wouldn’t start hanging. Hanging requires privacy. If you where to get caught you might even injure yourself in surprise.

I think you should maximize a manual routine during the few moments of privacy you can get.

No privacy makes it tough to hang for sure. Some men have hung weights with just socks. When it come to a DIY hanger just search through the hanging forum and you can find great DIY hangers. Check out TheGrippingTrainer. It is less then $30 and actually marketed for increasing grip strength of the hands but I have used it for performing stretches and hanging. It is similar to a LengthMaster.

Thanks for your reply firegoat. I’m just kinda using stretches and jelqing since I started. I know hanging must be the most effective way to get length. That’s the reason I want to begin with it.

Many guys never move away from stretching and jelqing and gain fine. It’s still the basis of my routines. It’s a bit like bodybuilders end up doing more and more fancy routines, but they could get much of what they want with just squats, deadlifts/pull-ups and bench presses.


Heat makes the difference between gaining quickly or slowly for some guys, or between gaining slowly instead of not at all for others. And the ideal penis size is 7.6" BPEL x 5.6" Mid Girth.

I am a manual guy. I strongly believe if I start a solid manual routine again I may gain a little bit more.Just nothing as impressive as my newbie gains.


BPEL 7 EG 5.5 NBPEL 6.5 Flaccid length 4.5. Started Jan 2015 at bpel 6.5 nbpel 6.0 and eg 5.2 flaccid length was 3.5

I wouldn’t say the most effective way. However, there are some great benefits to hanging. It can allow you to multi-task. If you are someone who is meticulous in tracking your workouts it really lends itself to that. By knowing the exact weight and time you are hanging it really lets you examine your routine.

For me the biggest drawback in regards to manuals is you never really know the exact amount of tension you are applying. Plus unless you are a machine you will not be able to maintain the exact level of tension over any significant period of time. Hanging is extremely precise in the weight you are applying.

Now manual stretching has some great advantages over almost every tool out there.

First of all it is free. You can’t beat that. Second, manual stretching travels well. There isn’t going to be any questions from airport security about that odd device in your bag. Third, it is very inconspicuous. You can go into any bathroom stall and do a minute or two of stretching with no one the wiser.

The guys already gave all of the advice and tips I was going to suggest, so all that I will add is that doing a manual routine first and maximising all of your gains through that approach is a good idea before hanging imo.

I have seen a lot of people plateau that have started with hanging and as a result you will have to try all types of new hanging methods or increasing weights to high levels, which in turn increases the risk of injury. Manual routines are a nice way to get the easy newbie gains straight off the bat. Most guys will gain really well and for a long time before they have to move to hanging.

As was mentioned, it is debatable whether or not hanging is “the” most effective form of PE, but it is definitely up there. It is an AWESOME method for breaking through length plateaus of several months. So it should definitely come into your arsenal down the line if you are a serious PE’er and you find yourself failing to continue with the gains. I cannot stress enough about the importance of ensuring you have privacy while hanging though; a jerk, a jump, standing up with the weights swinging and twisting… there is so much that could go wrong! I would never hang if I thought someone was going to walk in on me.

All you actually need is a lock and a hanger.

Even if you don’t live with your parents but you have room mated that care about you it’ll be difficult. If you spend 2-3h hanging a day right at the evening when people socialize, they will say you’ve become a weird person. Good thing is that you can multitask and do homework if you are a student, study or watch series. So you can simply say to your parents or room mates that you are studying and you aren’t actually lying.. But then, they will wonder why the heck you lock the door if you are simply studying.. It depends on how sneaky or bored your parents are..

We are in a similar situation mate. I personally will wait till I finish my studies. Studying and hanging ain’t easy I have heard.. And the schedule of a student varies a lot. Some weeks you do nothing and some weeks you gotta meet with mates to do stuff and study..

If you haven’t tried manuals yet, just do it. Eventually you will get more privacy and you can adapt or see what your parents say if you suddenly buy a lock hahah
