Hello everyone,

I have just completed 2 x 20 minute sets using 4.4lb with my V-hanger.

Just took the hanger off,and noticed my penis is swollen just below the head,but not all the way around only about half way.

I thought I was being careful with my weight and sets,is it anything to worry about when hanging,and how do I prevent it?

Oh anyone else experienced this when V-hanging.

I expierenced the same thing to my glans/head many times the last week with my Vacu-Hanger gonabbiger from hanging 5 pounds for hour long sets with small breaks in between. My glans/head would have a little fluid buildup but this would go away rather quickly within a 10 mins to a half-hour. Just like you about half of the upper part of the glans would be a bit discolored with some fluid build up but then that would go away quickly for me like I said earlier with a little rest break. Also my head/glans would stay plumper and fatter all day after that for a long time which is a good sign but I still worry about the lymph buildup as well.

I was willing to be a guinea pig and perform of expierment of hanging all day with 5 pounds as long as I kept getting positive indicators (PI = my shaft was plump, hanged longer after a set, and didn’t retract while resting after a set) since I was vacuum hanging. The negative PI was the glans fluid buildup but I decided to take the risk.

My glans feels a bit dryer now and there is was soreness in the glans which I never felt from any other form of PE but vacu-hanging gave me that soreness. You should probaly take it easy and let yourself slowly condition (your glans). You don’t want to lose too much sensitivity to the glans (which might be able to be regained later with different technques but at the cost of gains that might or might not come, the good old risk/reward relationship we all have to struggle with when making PE desicisons) from going overboard with the vacu-hanger.

I’m just using the v-hanger as a ADS right now so I can heal in the extended state before I do anymore hanging with it.

The upper half of your glans gets swollen because that’s where the force is. The rest of your dick gets stretched, but the top end is what’s being pulled on. So you get fluid building up in the tissues that have a lower barometric pressure around them - just like getting a hickie on the throat. No one knows (yet) what the longterm effects are, but for me nothing except a slightly larger glans - and that’s from loggin a lot of hours in the LegXtender and later Vac-Extender.

You say you get swollen beneath your glans, on the shaft? I don’t quite get that?

Ok now I’m worrying less about this. Thank you for the good explanation as to what is occuring and your expierences with vacuum hanging/stretching. I still will be cautious of course.

I haven’t seen any pictures of donuts - pumping donuts I mean. In the area of where the foreskin attaches to the shaft you mean? I am cicrumcised, I have never experienced anything like that. Not that it makes me terribly worried, only that I’ve read that for pumpers lymph buildup gets easier over time - but I have experienced plenty of white-tipped glans and it doesn’t seem to harm me - although I do not suggest one should strive for it!

I could guess that maybe your glans seals all around the sides of the cup and then your shaft thins out when you stretch and you get decreased pressure between the end of the cup and the seal? Is your glans notably larger than your shaft? Are you using the full length of the seal? I’m kind of guessing here, but try to pull up the seal over the cup (or cut it, but save that for later) and have as little seal covering the shaft as possible while still keeping the vacuum. Try that first.

Also, is the cup notably longer than your glans? MB is making these little padded inserts to adjust the depth of the cup so that it is no more than the depth of the glans + a tad.

Yes your right, that is where it was swollen it only lasted a few hours so panic over.

And yes the cup is longer than my glans,and I have cut the sleeve in half so there is only a bit covering my shaft.

I was just worried,as I have never experienced this before and wondered if any other V-hangers have had this.

Post #48 and #51 of this thread explains a little more as to why one wants to keep the seal as short as possible while still maintaining vacuum: mgus - Techniques in Vacuum Hanging

If you still have problems, try taking a piece of the seal you cut off and make a round pad of it and place that in the bottom of the cup, to make it more shallow.

I think I might be putting the dam thing on wrong. I am uncut,and was originally just placing my penis in the cylinder, with my foreskin still over the glans. Where my glans had expanded, I had an indent all around the glans where my foreskin had been.Obviously because of the expansion,my foreskin became very tight around the glans.

Well because of this,when putting the cup on I decided to pull all my foreskin back leaving all my head exposed in the cup.

This is when I started getting this half donut affect,today I hanged for 2 x 20 min sets and on the second one got it again.

Any thoughts.

Just got this from Mgus.

You want to pull back the skin. Use whatever mean necessary (I use sleeve, constriction sleeve to hold it back).

Some of what you are running into is due to the cylinder length (which is in another thread). The Vac-hanger cylinder is fairly short - but not short enough for some. This is the reason for the Custom Cylinder Option that I’m working on. I’m waiting for something before this option is available - sorry for the delay.

It would seem then that the foreskin is creating a void that is affected when you get the load on it. I can’t really advise on that, since I have no foreskin. But I might suggest taking abit of that cut off sleeve and putting it over the pulled-back foreskin to keep the donuting area under constriction before you put the hanger on. Try with variations of that and tell us what happened.

I have also had the fluid build up. I’m used to that now and realize it is mostly temporary.

The main problem I’ve been having lately is what I’ll call “Bruising of the Tip” of my penis.

Right at the tip and about 3/4 of an inch up on my glans, it get’s bruised?? Soreness to the touch.

At first I was only using the VH (VacuHanger) as a ADS. In July I started hanging weights as well, while
continuing to do ADS. This seemed to further injure the tip.

So for about the last 2 1/2 weeks I have not been using the VH as an ADS, only hanging weights anywhere from 1 x 20 min set up to 2 hours split up in 20 min sets.

I’ve just ordered a BibHanger to hang weights with and will then continue to use the VH as an ADS.
I really like the VH as an ADS, anytime I’ve used it as an ADS the day after hanging, I could feel my ligs being stretched. So I can’t wait to utilize this combination of the BH and VH to maximize gains.

I use the large cylinder and believe I’ll have to get the X-Large someday in the future.

are you making sure your glans is scrunched all the way in and try the get all air out? I can imagine two scenarios - #1 that you are more sensitive to lymph build up and that bruising is the end result (I think - think - I got sore for a day or so after having overdone things badly) #2 that you are not getting all air out (constriction sleeve?) and are getting more lymph buildup than you need to.

My guesses right now.

I am a fairly experienced pumper, I pump for long term gains no short term “how swollen can I get?” recreation. Both the vacuhanger and a vacuum pump produce the same fluid buildup under the skin. The vacu-hanger focuses it on the head, or tip of the head is you use a constriction sleeve. Fluid buildup is not a problem. Fluid blisters are. If you hang with too much weight for too long the fluid will cause blisters, which then must pop and heal.

When I vacuum pump I go for short sets of about 10 min, a brief rest, and then another 10 min session. With the vacu-hanger I keep my weight down to around 5 lbs. At this weight I can hang as long as I want with no indication of getting the blisters. I just get a little bit of swelling.
I have also been experimenting with using the vacu-hanger as an all night stretcher. I have attached a 2.5lb weight to some latex surgical tubing. I hang the weight over the end of the bed, stretch the tubing up to my vacu-hanger and attach it with a hook. The weight establishes the maximum stretching force, and the latex tubing allows for quite a bit of movement without causing any significant change in the amount of force applied to the penis, kind of like a shock absorber or something. So far I have gone up to 4 hours with no swelling or other problems. I’m slowly working towards a full night with it.
