I hung hanged for the first time today.

I’m wiling and able to get up to the right amount of time, and now that I understand that I don’t need to tear my dick off to get results I can relax and do the work.

A solid 15 minutes with 5 pounds this morning with not clamp discomfort and also no ligament soreness either, which was a little bothersome, but I’m going to stick with the program and up the time and hold the weight.

Started hanging on 3/28/12 after minimal gains on the newbie routine. Still not discouraged! This game is 99.9% mental. Stick with it, gents.

After 1 month of hanging 5-6lbs BTC: 1/4" gain in BPEL and BPFSL!

I love the sore feeling, but right now you want to be able to add more time and more sets. If you’re doing 1 20 minute set now, look to add a second. Keep at the 5 pounds for a week or so to get your unit conditioned to the lateral compression. When you are able to do 3 20 minute sets, then move up in weight. By then your unit will be used to the clamp and moving up in weight will be easier.


Serious starting point: Nov. 2, 2009/BPEL 5.75 x 4.75 inches.

Goal: BPEL 8 x 6 inches. Hell, if I hit 8, I'm going for 9!

Thanks Mr. S, this has been a bit of a learning curve for me and I could have easily been hanging 20 pounds by now if it wasn’t for you guys steering me back to reason.

I too love the gentle tearing and recognize the threshold of pain that one has to endure and ride for extended periods to ensure plastic deformation.

I noticed this morning that even though I had cut back to 5 pounds, I still felt the tears in my ligaments while lying in bed.

I will try for more sets of 5 pounds this week and maybe add more next week and see what happens.

When you get that nice soreness and stretching feeling going, do not stop or let it go away. I have been little busy lately and only got 1-3 sets day last week and I usually do 6 sets. My soreness went away completely and I needed about 2 pounds more weight to get the same feeling.

You will heal stronger if you let yourself heal completely.

This morning I broke down and added 2 1/2 pounds after doing 5 pounds for 10 minutes.

My body says that the sore feeling is necessary to get the ligs to grow and 5 pounds just wasn’t quite doing it, so I pushed the process a little with 2 1/2 extra pounds for 5 minutes.

I did the same thing bro. Just pay attention to your body and hope you never macro tear vs micro tear.

I woke to raging morning wood this morning and I could still feel the sheering of my ligaments from yesterday, and can still feel the slight microtearing sensation as I prepare for my morning hang.

I began again with 5 pounds this morning and went for ten minutes swinging in all directions and then added another 2 1/2 pounder for the final 5 minutes as it seemed that I needed that extra tugging and that seemed to do the trick.

I am getting used to the time factor while doing sets and maybe I will see if 20 minutes is possible this afternoon 15 with 5 pounds and then 5 with 7 1 1/2.

I have read that I need 10 hours a week to get results so I need to push the timeframe of each set.

Second set went 20 minutes this afternoon. 10 with 5 pounds, 5 with 7 1/2 and finally 5 with 5.

Lots more fatigue on the ligs, but not to the point where they are painful.

I need to get used to the longer sets.

Another good 20 minute set this morning. I’m getting used to the longer time in the hanger and it doesn’t hurt the glans like I thought it might.

Certainly a confidence builder. I thought that I would never be able to wear the hanger for that long, but now it gives me hope that I can get enough hanging time in to meet my goals.

Put in 15 minutes with 7 1/2 pounds. A long week of hanging finds me psychologically tired I think.

I will get at least one set in tomorrow and hopefully one on sunday so as not to allow healing.
