I can't fucking win

Inch,
I am aware of your past scare - but even if I weren’t I would still recommend you not over-think this process.
To begin, a person can hang wrapless with virtually any hanger, and in my personal experience the Bib is very good for this. I want to stress though, that I am not a heavy weight hanger myself, so I can’t speak to how well a wrapless hang would go with the Bib at over appx. 10 lbs.
That said, the purpose behind wrapping has more to do with comfort than anything else. Other considerations such as bunching skin and tissue, providing extra dorsal nerve protection, controlling glans bloating/pressure, and preventing slippage all come into play, but to a lesser degree than simple comfort - especially if you are using a well designed device.

The way I have used Bib’s Starter without wrap is to pull a flaccid stretch holding from my glans. With the device in the palm of the other hand I lay my stretched shaft into the well of the device and gently close it (think closing a book in one hand). If done with care the top bolt will land in its proper position and I can begin tightening.
At first, you should not concern yourself with how much skin ends up where. Simply pay attention to your settings and allow that you will have to tinker with them until you find a good place. Once this is done, you can then give your attention to skin issues - which should be easier now that you are not at war with your wrap.

One issue that often gets over-looked but is almost always the source of a hangers problems is wrapping; how much material, what kind of material, how loose, how tight, what direction, what kind of placement, etc. Sadly, a bad wrapping technique can turn a good device into a worthless peice of junk.

This is why I stress that you attempt hanging with your Bib sans wrap. It is a well designed device and if used properly will never be the source of any physical injury or discomfort. I use the Wench, which is less friendly to a wrapless hang, but even then I use only the smallest amount of Theraband and keep it very loose. It’s sole purpose in my case is skin comfort.

Your problem(s) with going cold in more areas of your anatomy than your unit is, frankly, unlike anything I have ever heard of.

Cap, thank you for the advice. However can you or maybe somebody else tell me whether or not I can wrap and hang without having to pull back the skin. If I can what would the difference be? If I hang without the wrap, do I still pull back the skin? If I don’t pull back the skin, what difference would it make?

Well, I never owned a Bib but I would say that the purpose to pulling the skin back with any hanger is to prevent growing more foreskin ( or developing a foreskin if you are cut ). If this does not concern you, then you can certainly hang wrapless without having to pull the skin back. That would be easier and that is the difference.

I have the same problem when using my bib starter. However, I found that using one of my old baby socks (I have a few that I use for stretching and I used to use with my old hanger) is great. It works much, much better than the theraband.

KOG, do you pull the skin back when you wrap?

>tell me whether or not I can wrap and hang without having to pull back the skin.<

Yes.

>If I can what would the difference be?<

In the long-term, very little if any.

>If I hang without the wrap, do I still pull back the skin?<

If you like.

>If I don’t pull back the skin, what difference would it make?<

In the long-term, very little if any.

The bottom line is consistancy. Just be consistent and you’ll be fine.

Try to look at it this way:
Imagine your skin broken down into two parts - What is forward of the hanger/wrap and what is within and behind the hanger/wrap:

The skin forward of the hanger is necessary as part of the bunching that takes place and acts as a cushion of sorts between the hanger and your glans - Bigger calls this the “shoulders”. Most people, myself included, prefer instead to call it the “shoulders”.
This skin does not receive stretch.

The skin within and behind the hanger/wrap does receive stretch - more when you first begin hanging, less as over time your skin slackens and your internals begin taking the bulk of the stress.

If you must wrap keep it rather loose. Provided you place your hanger in the same place on your shaft with each session, time and tension will do the job of stretching whatever part of your anatomy needs stretching.

Just be consistent and you’ll be fine.

Thank you very much, again, Cap for your time and advice.

I to the X to the I,

>somebody else tell me whether or not I can wrap and hang without having to pull back the skin.<

If you are uncut, leave the foreskin over the head, however it is acceptable to pull back slightly to allow for slack behind the hanger. Try pulling back very slightly, say so that the foreskin half-way covers the head, and begin your wrap 1” behind the head.

>If I can what would the difference be?<

The further forward the skin is the more stress it will take. The further back it is the more stress the ligs/tunica will take. When pulled back fully you get instant pain at higher weights.

SS4, thank you also once again. I find myself turning back to my old behaviours ( frustration, feeling of hopelessness, “ah, fuck it, I don’t need this anyway ). I vowed not to let it happen, but I did. I need to chill out, regroup and come back again. I did however try hanging without wrap last night, straight out, with 8lbs and must say it was a great hang. Now I see how important the wrap is, in terms of skin pinch. The first time I put it on I forgot to realize I have a turkey neck, which got caught in the hinge, which in turn ripped as soon as I let the weight go! OOOOOOHHHHHH SSSSSHHHHIIIITTTT! That hurt something fierce. I did suffer a minor cut, but nothing to worry about. I went at it again, being very careful this time and I had a good hang.
