How to make Bib knockoff

I figured I’d show how I made a Bib knockoff, can be seen here To all the handy mens show your hanger and here My hanger

These instructions are for cutting and shaping the PVC. They do not include how to add a hinge or soft inner material. Refer to picture for visual of each step.

Materials: PVC, tap water
Tools: Hack Saw, drill, pliers, sandpaper, pot (to boil water)

1. Cut a length of PVC roughly 3 inches long.
2. Cut PVC in 1/2 lengthwise.
3a. Using boiling water, heat PVC.
3b. With pliers, bend corners up. (Create enough room for hinge)
3c. Run bent PVC over cold water to solidify shape
(Note: It may be easier to bend subsections and cool instead of bending the full length of PVC at once)
4. With Hack saw, cut half-U shape out of each section of PVC.
5a. Drill holes for hinge and tightening screw.
5b. Create open hole for tightening screw. (For easy removal)

I hate to say this because of all the work you put into this but that contraption won’t work. A hollow hanger will just not work, it’s like the part you need to grab the internal structures is left out. It can only grab wrap and skin and hang off of your glans.

All my first hangers were made of straightened PVC and while still flat they worked to a certain degree. However everytime I used them the sides would bend a little more and grab less. The more hollow they got the worse the hanger became. I kept making bad hangers till I realized that the sides need to be flat and rigid. 2 planks with 2 holes, 2 screws and a cord is all you need to make a decent hanger, it won’t look like a BIB but it will work.

Well that’s exactly the type of input I’m looking for. I built this thing some years ago and lost interest because it didn’t work as well as manual stretching. Since I got a few interested responses to my design I threw that up there.

Are you suggesting something similar to the AFB design? For my own usage, I wanted to make a vacuum hanger similar to the ones that allow a vacuum pump for heavier weights.

If you are going to be building a new hanger I don’t think you will regret making an AFB hanger. You also seem to be creative enough to adjust the design to your personal preference. It probably won’t take you long to put one together and later you can still build your own vacuum hanger for comparison.
