Should I work out on alternate days? Which way do you get the fastest gains?

The million dollar question

If one thing is certain about PE at this stage, it is that there is no one method to follow. What may give gains to one does not work for another.

While some gain with rest days, others gain with continuous workouts.

However, there is a few general guidelines you can follow.

If it hurts, stop. If you can’t feel anything, it probably isn’t working. Find a middle ground.

If you are very sore you need a rest. If I can hang the next day, I do. If I have to lower weight, I do so. I generally begin heavy, decreasing weight with each set (if I have time). Others say it may be better to start light and build up (over time or with each set).

If you are just starting, take this advice. Don’t force yourself so far as to injure yourself, as this means you can’t PE and that definitely means no gains.
