How many are using AFB or AFBv2?

Now that the Bibhanger is out of production, how many are using one of Tom Hubbard’s ingenious hangers?

I’d like to get some feedback from people who use it at this point.

I have been using the AFB2 for a couple of weeks with good results. The hanger was easy to make and inexpensive. It is also very easy to get on and off as advertised by TH. I modified his design a little bit. I used 1/2 in. electrical conduit instead of 3/4 in. TH said to us 3/4, but when flattened, the thing spread out to about 1 1/2 in. My member is not as “long” as Tom’s, so the 1 1/2 in. was a little too wide for me. However, the 1/2 in. conduit only flattens out to 1 in. It fits me well and is comfortable. One tip: I had to use a vise to flatten the tube after boiling. During my first attempt, I put 250 lbs of barbell plates on the tube and it wouldn’t flatten - then I stood on the plates (215 lbs more) and it still wouldn’t flatten. The vise and a piece of cardboard to prevent gouging the plastic did the trick. Also, I made the side that is notched to take the screw about 1/4 in longer than the other side - this was because you need some extra room for the wingnut to grip. Let me know if you try to make one and have difficulty.

I’ve read a few posts about people saying it was hard to deform the pipe after heating it.

Ideally I’d like to form it into a football shape as opposed to completely flat (compress about 50%). I would think that would have a nice contact point for the ol’ peter.

Any thoughts?

You don’t really need to flatten the pipe at all. I just found that more contact area seemed to work better, and you don;t need as long a screw (if you use a screw).

Definitely use electrical conduit, not water pipe. It softens a lot quicker.

What about some type of rubber application to the hanger to increase ‘staying’ power - that is, the ability to not slide down the ol’ ween?

The idea about applying some sort of rubber to the hanger could work. However, I have been using a wrap as specified by Tom Hubbard. I use a long strip of soft cotton cloth and then wrap that with a strip of latex from a swim cap. The increased contact area (as a result of flattening the conduit in the vise) helps to keep a good grip on the wrap and the precious member inside.

OK, if I use a cutup strip of sweatshirt material for the underwrap, should I put the comfy side against the penis?

Comfy side/non comfy side - no difference (to me :) ) Anything’s going to be more comfortable to remove than latex that’s practically bonded to thin penile skin after ten minutes of hanging!
