Guys

Over and over we hear that you can’t get gains hanging unless you hang for huge hours, but than you hear you can get get gains with heavy weight hanging for shorter periods of time. Well is it true can you get gains hanging 10 or less hours a week?
What do you guys think? Anybody getting good gains hanging 10 or less hours? I know this is more a hanging thread but I’m trying to get the most input I can.

I’ve been hanging about 4-5 hours a week the last three months and my gains have been decent (between 3/8 and 1/2 inch). I’m going to step it up for the next few months (i’m going to try to do some a.m. sets)… I really think keeping my penis stretched after the workout has helped dramatically.

i hang 6 hours a week and it seems to be working fine. now that i am able to hang 12.5lbs for 3 20 min sets and am about to start pumping im going to go down to 5 hours a week and go up in weight on a 2 0n 1 off program instead of 3 0n 1 off. i think if you have to hang 10 hours a week to get sore ligs than your not useing ehough weight. just my thoughts!

For some, sure.

IMO, the growth is exponentially proportional to hours hung.

Whereas you will get gains hanging only a few hours a week, doubling those hours will more than double the speed at which you gain.

If you hang, let’s say 5 hours a week, you may gain 1/8” per year, but if you hang 10 hours that 1/8 may come in say 4 months. And if you hang 20 hours (that’s 3 hours a day remember) you may see 1/8” increase in 6 weeks.

These are merely figures and numbers plucked out of thin air and I do not claim any scientific basis to back them up.

As you know, everyone is going to see different results. For me, hanging heavy (over 30 pounds) for less than 10 hours seemed to not have any effect in the short term. I am taking a break from hanging for a few months and then will try again when i can dedicate more than 10 hours/week.

Hey Guys,

Bigger told me that he basically hung from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. I am guessing that he hung in sets, but it sounds as though he did a lot of them. I would guess that he hung 6-7 hours per day M-F and a little bit on the weekend. That would be about 40 hours per week - a full-time job of hanging. I have made some procedural changes in my business (I own a small company) and I am now hanging in my office behind closed doors with a do not disturb sign in place for 2-3 hours a day. I can work on the computer and make phone calls while hanging (I’m hanging now!). I agree with Guiri that time hanging is a big factor in MHO.

well i have been hanging now for 2 months and 17 days

so im still kind of a newbie but for me 6 hours a week does very damn good on getting me fatigued with 12.5lbs had to drop down to 10 as of today because my ligs are getting one hell of a stretch the best i have had the whole time i ve been hangin.

anyways ive been hangin 6 hours a week and gained .5 in the last 2 month or so and my ligs were no where near as sore as they are getting with 12.5lbs you guys most have been hanging for a long time to need more than 10 hours a week but for use newbies i think any were from 5-6 should be just fine if you are useing the right amount of weight.

Once more it’s kinda of right up the middle some people can get gains with low hours and some can’t. I have to wonder if the people that do hang for under 10 hours are getting the gains from jelqing and squeezing and not from hanging at all. I guess I will never know the answer to this question. The big gains like 4 inches from Bigger”bib” came from huge hours. Even Dance who has the worlds tuffest ligs had to hang huge hours to get a gain.
Well I’m just thinking out loud, I spend to much time thinking about my dick. :)

Hey guys guys, bumped this old thread from main to hanging, I’m still wondering if anybody ever made any gains hanging 4-5 hous a week or less. Or if the gains are just from jelqing.

I think you’d have to ask only the guys who do hanging exclusively to weed out the jelq/stretch situation.

Now as for me, I gained a lot in my 6 weeks of hanging, but I was working from 5-10 hours a week (lighter at first to heavy hours).

From here on out I will try that JAI stretch in the AM and do about an hour of hanging in the PM. I simply don’t have the time to hang two hours a day. I still think I’ll make very good progress, so I’ll let you know.

I am doing AI stretches in the early AM and then hanging about 4 hours per day (12 - 20 min. sets). I gained a quarter inch last month, but I don’t know if I can sustain that rate or not.
We’ll see.

I hang all day like JT does and gained almost 3/4” in 1 month. The point of my post isn’t the gain itself, but I think the more time you put in the more you will gain. BUT, I think you will gain with a lot fewer hours also, just not as fast :)

Thanks for the replies, I will test the 4 to 5 hours a week theory out at this time that’s all the time I have to hang and it could be even less soon.
