Hey all Long time no see! topic Most weight allowed

Allowed is probably not a good word. What I meant is what is the most weight anyone should ever attempt to hang. I’m talking about for one set to break through barriers….

It varies from person to person and depends on experience (how much were you expecting THAT reply?). Bib said he got to 45 pounds, i’ve got over the 30 mark. I think most people will have made good gains before getting near 30 pounds.

well I hung 18 to 23 lbs for 6 months and gained nothing. I learned by angles I have gained but I dont want to put in 6 months with out any gains again…..

Might have needed 25. Also, may have needed different angles, etc. With your LOT, you are not going to get much more gain out of your ligs. You need to work the upper angles, and throw in some DLD twists.

BTW, I have it that you have gained an inch. Is this wrong? Or do you mean no further gains in six months?

Upper angles and mostly straight out is where I have gained 3/4 inch. I have’nt done any hanging in 5 months but I am going to get back to it again now. I know I can gain much more, I feel a great stretch when I just pull straight out. I will work with 25 after a couple hanging sessions when I get used to it again. I just bought more weights I only could go to 23 now I can go to 45. Oh whats DLD twists I can’t find them when I search.

I have gained 3/4 about. and I had trouble BEFORE I learned about erection angles and hanging straight out, not BTC. BTC does nothing for me at all. I feel NO stretch, have never gained anyting. Hello Bib and all glad to see you guys….I have been out of it for some time now what did I miss.. ????? lol

Woah there cowboy. If you have been off for five months, you cannot get to 25 lbs after a couple of sessions. It will take several weeks. Take it easy and don’t hurt yourself.

Put the hanger on and twist the shaft a time or two to one side or the other. Then, lightly stretch while holding on to the strap. Then, twist the other way and repeat. Do this for a couple minutes and then apply the weight (without any twisting). You better just hang for a couple weeks though before you try this.

I hung 18 -23 lbs BTC for 2 hours a day (5 , 20 min sets combined about) , weekends off for 6 months with no gains. Then I started hanging straight out or up angles for 2 1/2 months IF THAT with no more then 15 to 18 lbs and gained 3/4 inch.

BBS Suppp.. Just to let you all know what I experienced last night. I started my routine again and wow. I used my pulley setup 15 lbs 3 sets and great LIG stretch. Over the shoulder, straight out all different angles but nothing lower then straight out. I am glad I’m still hitting my ligs. Im worried about stretching only my trunica as If I hung 23 lbs BTC and I was not hitting my Ligs I must of been hitting my trunica only, and It didn’t stretch!

Please explain this. If you have an LOT of 7:00, how could you hit your ligs at nothing lower than straight out?
