I did some hanging back in the day and it did result in some gains, however I found that it toughened up my dick and I started to get that “steel cord”, so I stopped since then…
I think the important thing to remember is that with hanging, your gains aren’t proportional to the amount of weight. That kind of thinking leads to injuries. It’s more about the time spent hanging. And as with everything in PE your overall EQ needs to be good also.

Now, in my opinion 1/8 inch in 8 weeks a good result… if you’re sure that you made that gain. Either way it is encouraging and you should stick with your routine to see if you can get another 1/8 inch…. At that rate you’ll have 1 inch in 64 weeks. And while that may seem slow to you… many people still haven’t figured out how to make any gains at all. Also, newbies often sabotage their program by switching what works to search for a faster way… next thing you know the 64 weeks have passed and you haven’t made much gains because you changed what was working for you…
Do what works (results in gains) until it doesn’t work anymore. PE is a long-term commitment. The only time you should stop doing what works is when you are intentionally taking a deconditioning break to return to your routine at a later date.
