Hanging 101

Thank you for all this information, although I have a question.

Can I start hanging without doing the newbie routine? I did the routine like 4 years ago and now I want to start with something a little bit more serious like hanging. Thanks.

Do you wrap after hanging to prevent turtleing?

What do you use to wrap afterwords?

Gambit99 I don’t wrap afterwards but I can’t imagine it hurting you to wrap unless you do it to tightly and not monitor the state of your penis.

Hey great thanks, I have two other questions I can’t seem to find answers to.

1.) Is it if you exceed 4 hours of hanging or 12 sets at your primary angle in a WEEK that you go to your secondary angle? Or is it in a day? I know I’ve heard of ppl doing extreme hanging lengths and I didnt know if this was about that or simply if you exceed 12x sets a week. Obviously I do. I’m up to 4 sets a day, about to go to 5.. so does that mean I should be going 2 1/2 days at one angle and then switch? Sorry just a bit confused as to when I should incorporate the secondary angle. I’m starting with BTC and my secondary is SD.

2,) When you reached your desired length and you wanted to start adding girth.. would you do some say pumping and still incorporate a few hanging sets to cement gains? Perhaps every few days instead of doing a girth routine you’d hang? I had bough a pump from LA PUMP which I really like, I know its down the road but I’m just curious as to when I can start pumping while keeping my hanging gains and how to go about that.

Wouldn’t that also mean if you were maximizing your privacy at 2 hours a day that you could only work on your primary angle of attack for 2 days a week?

Again, confused.

I can only go off of what I have read from Bib. I know that there are other people that hit all the angles in the same day. I can understand Bib’s methodology of divide and conquer. I can feel it when I hang and when I feel the next limiting factor. I can relate to that. However, there might be other people that swear by the shotgun approach to hanging.

1. The idea of the secondary angle was if you had to reduce your weight by more than 50% in that session. Not for the week just that day that session. You really don’t want to arbitrarily change angles. You hit that angle till you have exhausted it. You have reduced weight by 50%. Then you move to the next angle.

You can try SD next but it is likely you won’t be able to hang much with it either. But that would be a good angle to hit. Then if you have exhausted SD in that same day and you still have time to hang and the desire to hang then you go to SO. You probably won’t come close to exhausting all the angles unless you are hanging an insane amount of time and you get to fatigue within the first two sets and just do a great job or riding that fatigue down.

2. What Bib is always saying is when you have reached your length gains you do a couple sets every day not trying to hit fatigue but just for maintenance. He didn’t do any pumping. He had an extreme ULI device. Since I am not to that point yet I am guessing it is probably similar to clamping but I am just guessing.

No.
If you don’t exhaust to 50% at all during the week then you would be working the primary angle for 14 hours that week.

Personally about half way through the first set of the session I start out SD. I am trying to make sure my attachment is good. I am making sure my wrap is good. I am slowly tightening the hanger during that first set.
SD isn’t as severe. Then I start transitioning into BTC in that set. Slowly getting used to it. By the second set BTC isn’t a problem at all. For me personally that first set BTC is a tough angle. However, everyone is different.

I also feel that almost all my gains come from BTC.

I feel a deep stretch but it feels good for me BTC, I sit at my desk chair and put my feet up on the bed.

So am I to gather that unless I need to reduce weight during the week doing BTC stretches, (because I’ve exhausted myself.. that then that is when the secondary angle comes into play).. that I may continue to stretch at that angle all week until I feel I’ve made no further gains?

I love that. I am sure you do it more intense than I do. I just love when I feel that soreness all night and wake up with it and even until my next session.

I’ve only been hanging for a few weeks and using 4.5lbs so I’m not quite there yet haha!

I also heard hanging was good for EQ which has me very excited.

What’s everyone do when they’re not hanging?

I’ve read bib would leave his wrap on as an ADS type thing for a few hours that helped with blood flow and what not.. do we know if he ever recommended traction wrapping after?

I’m current doing a routine of 6 20 minute sets hanging, testicular health massages to help with my turkey neck and 10 min jelqing.. I’m wondering if wrapping after hanging would be a good idea.

I ask this especially if it would help with glands growth as aside from length, head growth is my other goal!
