Hanging 101

-5 to 10 minute warm-up (e.g. Rice-sock)
-2.5lbs to 5lbs (Test at the lighter weight first, stop adding weight if there’s any pain)
-reduce weight if needed during subsequent sets.
-3x or 4x 20 minute hanging sets (don’t be afraid to end your set early if something feels wrong

I´m having trouble understanding. Apparently I don’t speak English as well I thought I did.
Is a set considered 3 repetitions?
As in hang for 20 min then 10 min rest then hang again for 20 then rest 10 min then hang again then rest?
So basically one would need a minimum of 4.5 hours in the first week
And by week 12 one would require 9 hours per day?
Can anyone clarify this?

Correct.

Excluding warm-up - 3 sets should take you roughly 90 minutes.

Hanging IS time consuming and it IS hard work. The advantage is that you might be able to multi-task if you have desk work or reading you can do while hanging.

Thank you for your reply but I’M caught up in semantics

MY question was is a(1) set considered 3 repetitions?(20m +10 rest+20+10+20+10) added up they come as 90 minutes

Then you say 3 sets should take you roughly 90 minutes

Do you see what I don’t understand?

This is not weight lifting, so I think you’re confusing yourself with terminology here. There are no ‘repetitions’. Only sets.

1 set = 20 minutes hang time

So, 3 sets = 3 x 20 minutes in the hanger.

That’s 60 minutes TOTAL in the hanger. With breaks in between and other stuff, you’re likely to total around 90 minutes.

A set could of course be less than 20 minutes also, but 20 minutes seems to be the ‘industry standard’ for clamp style hangers. Vacuum hangers tend to have longer sets, but also at lower weights.

Also, I think that you don’t need to hang as much as suggested to get gains. 3-4 sets should be sufficient (and have been so for me), at least if you can supplement it with an ADS and some manual stretches throughout the day.

If you want monster gains, then you might of course need to step up a little on the amount of sets.

Currently doing 3 sets per day myself with 4-5 sets once in a blue moon.

Hello Brothers,

I have a question since I want to maximize my time with my hanging routine. Now I know that I have to constantly refine my wrap, attachment point, tightening skills, etc. However, I’ve been hanging SD and BTC for a while now and I’m having a hard time determining if its skin that is stretching or the ligaments within so whenever I finish a set, from time to time, I would lean over on to a stool and I would honestly feel this amazing tug that is more so on the base of my penis where the fat pad is.

I tried to replicate the same feeling by doing a straight out stretch with the kickstand from the LG Hanger that I bought from home hardware but it did not get the same tug feeling as if I was bent over on the stool. I wanted to know the following:

1. If this is the true feeling of what pulling your internal penis feels like?
2. If anyone attempted to be in the bent over position for 20 minutes at a time? (If so, how the hell did you manage to be in that position for so long)
3. Also, after each set, do you completely unwrap and jelq new blood into your shaft or keep the wrap on and just jerk new blood into the shaft?

Anyways, I appreciate any advice at this point. Thanks!

Absolutely. It’s probably even an advantage to have a morning and evening session.

If you could add in some stretches while going to the bathroom or maybe wear an ADS during the day, even better.

Whats an ADS? I’m assuming is a stretcher device that you use during the day under your clothes like phallossan?

ADS = All Day Stretcher. If you are on a proper PC, hovering your cursor over abbreviations will show what they mean. Unfortunately it doesn’t work on an iPad.

Yes, you assumed correctly.

Bib seem to be skeptical towards an ASD and have said the force is too light relative to the force used when hanging, but I don’t believe that myself. I’m pretty sure it’s beneficial and probably even crucial for guys who can’t hang a lot every day.

I currently use the AutoXleeve. It’s far too bulky to wear out of the house for my taste, unless you like people to think you have a monster dick. I don’t. And I wear skinny jeans. If you don’t care or wear baggy jeans, it will work great.

It’s by far the most comfortable ADS I’ve used and it’s super easy to put both on/off. With a little practice, it’s done in virtually 5 seconds off and 5-10 seconds on.

The heaviest cap, which I use, is just below 500 grams, so maybe a little less than ideal for an ADS, but certainly better than nothing. It does keep my penis pretty well stretched out. Tonight, I made a little modification and actually added 200 grams. I will try to increase this even further.

So, if I can add in say 2-3 hours at 500-800 grams of pull in addition to hanging, I’m sure it can’t hurt. :)

May not be in the right thread, there is so many.
Been doing the newbee for a while. Now I would like to do PE hanging. Tryed different way and I find it difficult to keep something for very long. The problem is not the pain, its that nothing can’t hold. I tryed socks with rope, or one of these home made device, and my gland just slip through everythin after few seconds - 1 minutes. I would really like to get into it, as it allow multi task. Thanks for any advice!
