Hanging time

Of course. :) Started a new one few days ago. Here it is: My progress report v2.0

It took me few sessions to learn how to properly attach the hanger, but now I’m perfectly satisfied with it. At first I had to limit sets to 10-15 minutes because discomfort caused by pulling on the skin, but after figuring out how to avoid catching skin, I can handle 25 minutes with ease. Probably more, but 25 should be enough for now because I’m only a week into hanging. We’ll see later how it handles bigger weights.

Good luck with the hanging routine. I am not sure that hanger will handle the heavier weight (by heavier, I’m sure you are not one of those guys looking to hang 25lbs but you may look to hang close to 10lbs or more). An inexpensive solid alternative to the Bib which I used comfortably is the Captain’s Wench. Some have hung upward of 15lbs with the wench.

Thanks. Time will tell how much weight it can handle, but by the looks of it I think it should be able to handle up to ~10 lbs. I’m don’t plan to hang heavy and I hope I won’t need to. 10 hours a week will be minimum for me, maybe I even work my way to 14 hours a week and with multiple angles, I hope I’ll reach my goal by the time I reach ~10 lbs. Only ~0.7” to go.

I’m interested in vacuum hanging only because it doesn’t require a wrap. I’m uncut so wrapping is a huge drag to me and I don’t want to mess with it. If I don’t reach my goal by the time my homemade hanger can’t handle more weight, I hope I’ll have money for monkeybar’s hanger.
