Sorry if I should have found my answer through search but I didn’t.

Can someone tell me what hanging SO means? Is this the best method? If it means straight out how the heck to you do that? Seems linke hanging weights down (SD?) is all that is possible.

It means strait out. It can be done by using a pulley or a cup hook/”c” hook.

You can hang SO by attaching a pulley under your computer desk and sitting in a chair.

You can hang SO by attaching a pulley to the ceiling and lying on your back in bed.

Where can you get one of these pulleys

You can find pulleys in just about any major hardware store. Try looking in the aisle where they have rope and steel cable.

So I take it ,that the vast majority here hang SD and BTC? Will stick to SO for a while more, or ,maybe soon start to “mix it up” with SD and/or BTC. Happy Hanging!! JD. Oh yeah! Have a GREAT Holiday Season!

If you have a weight bench that has a lat bar use the pulley that comes with it. If you have a bow flex machine, that will work as well.


Long Term Goal

In standing position, I bend my body forward, is SO too? Or it’s different? I feel more stretching force with this position than SD, is it normal?

This putting a pulley under the desk and sitting in a chair is too restrictive for me.

I use a Bungee in a standing position. I get the best flexability of any kind of setup this way because I can do SO, SU and leg overs left and right. Add to this fulcrums from any one of these positions and your ligs don’t stand a chance. I get enough SD’s with my Rings so I don’t even go there for exercise.

I can increase weight at a moments notice and I can decrease weight quickly and safely. I don’t have to deal with metal or any other kind of static weight.

Meiya - if you stand and bend forward it’s more like straight up (compare the angles of your dick and your belly, the more you bend the more the angle approaches the one you would measure hanging straight up.

You will only have a straight out hanging angle if you are sitting straight in your chair in a 90 degree angle.
If your chair has no 90 degrees back you are not hanging Straight Out anymore. Then your angle is lower than straight out. Your hanging setup on your bench or whatever has to arise, so that you are hanging in a Straight Out angle again.
Same with OTS, you are only hanging OTS, when your whole stretched shaft is almost touching your belly. That is why hanging OTS in a half laying position is the best way to hang OTS in my point of view, like for example in a sun lounger.

Thanks for your information. I meant if I’m in standing position, bend (bow) my body forward 90 degree, will this give the same SO stretch?
